I like this poll and how it makes fun of the names people give candidates online. It really bothers me when people say things like, Odumbo, Killary or Libtard, because they really just aren't that clever. I feel like the people who say these things really think they are clever too, which is where my annoyance comes from. #rant

BRUHHH this wait is killing me.
At least for the LSAT we knew around what dates we would get our scores back.
Also, does anyone else have a mini heart attack when they accidentally click on the LSAT forum. I never want to see another LSAT again.

Sometimes, I think about retaking. But then I remember what studying for the LSAT was like. Never again.Thelaw23 wrote:BRUHHH this wait is killing me.

I live in a swing state(VA), but otherwise I'd be writing in Jeb Bartlett

I've generally found that political insults are a lot more clever when I agree.poptart123 wrote:I like this poll and how it makes fun of the names people give candidates online. For someone who is 99% sure they will be working on the east coast, is it worth it to apply to Berkeley and/or UCLA?

I know that Berkeley can definitely get you east coast, not as sure about UCLA. Still a good school, but not as national a reach. I'd go to the specific school threads and try to see what sort of grades at each school put you in a good position at OCI to get NYC biglaw.Mikey wrote:For someone who is 99% sure they will be working on the east coast, is it worth it to apply to Berkeley and/or UCLA?
If you want a specific market like Boston or D.C., I'd be a lot more hesitant about UCLA.

Alright, thanks! Yeah, i'd like to work/live in NYC (born and raised here), but i'm not opposed to going out of state for LS. I'm gonna do some more searching up on this!Bearlyalive wrote:I know that Berkeley can definitely get you east coast, not as sure about UCLA. Still a good school, but not as national a reach. (8-12) They're one of the best schools in the nation, and they're located less than two blocks away from my condo.PrezRand wrote:Where to and what made you apply early?fips tedora wrote:I amPrezRand wrote:Anyone EDing?

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (welcome September waiTTTers)
I have an important question -
Do adcoms talk to each other about certain students?
If I tell admissions of one school that I am not really trying to go to, say, Stanford or Duke, but then tell those schools that I am - is there anyway that they admissions of the first school can tell the other one that I told them I'm not interested in their school?

I mean, for example: if I'm trying to butter up one law school to get money for leverage purposes and tell them that I am really trying to go to law school on the west coast, while in truth trying to go to school on the east coast.warmcherrysoda wrote:Probably not. They may, however, report incidents of misrepresentation to LSAC. Such a report would then be included with all of your applications. You should not lie. And this lie seems particularly frivolous, since schools only ask about where else you are applying for statistical purposes (evaluating which are their peer institutions), rather than for admissions.Thelaw23 wrote:I have an important question -

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (welcome September waiTTTers)
Thanks! Another question: By accident in the employment section, although it says that I worked 45 hours a week in my job throughout the same time period as I was in school, I picked "no" for if employment was during the academic year.
Is it worth it to send e-mails to the school I applied to in order to change that?
Edit: My PS also states that I worked during the academic year

Well, just had to send ANOTHER email to my 2nd LOR writer. I don't even care about being pushy at this point....I emailed him originally in May. I didn't hear back from him until Sept 19th (after sending follow ups) and he said it will be submitted soon. Here are are....almost a month later and still no letter. I want to apply next week because I have scholarship deadlines in November.
It's just annoying...why agree to write a letter if you can't do it?

I've got the same problem. I asked in June just so that I wouldn't have this problem and I had to send 2 polite reminders. Each time he said it would be done that week. I'm still waiting. We're talking about basic home training at this point.ashrice13 wrote:Well, just had to send ANOTHER email to my 2nd LOR writer. Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (welcome September waiTTTers)
Anyone who has already submitted their transcripts, took a pass/fail class for credit, and has gotten their LSAC GPA already want to let me know how that turned out? I'm thinking of making one of my courses this semester a P/F but my school warned me that some grad programs count a Pass from a P/F as a D. I think LSAC just doesn't count it unless it's an F, correct?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
