+1, this is much easier to do anonymously than answering a bunch of PMs about stats.WhiteHouse wrote:Friendly reminder to everyone receiving money to update the TLS checker spreadsheet with their information. Congrats and thanks!

Complete back in November, interviewed 12/18. Went UR 4 (5?) today. 2/15.
Wonder if that means I'm getting a call? Not sure

Question for those of you with S/Os who will potentially be moving with you to school...are any of you concerned about job prospects in the Ithaca area for said significant others?

Very much so. That is my biggest reservation about Cornell.Toodle-loo wrote:Question for those of you with S/Os who will potentially be moving with you to school...are any of you concerned about job prospects in the Ithaca area for said significant others?

Just got a request for a personal interview with Dean Ingram in Manhattan. Anyone have any insight into this interview or what questions might be asked? Has anyone had this previously? Couldn't really find anything substantive when I searched the forums.
Also, if anyone can point me in the direction of past interview questions for ones that were not done in person, that'd be helpful too! Thanks.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I love their program and we (S/O and I) ultimately want to end up in NY especially for his career (international finance), but...what will he do for 3 years in the woods? lol.WaitersIsland wrote:

I've met her before and she was super nice. I don't think you have much to worry about. If I were you, I would just make sure you can articulate well why law, why law school now, what are your future career goals, and why Cornell. Other than that, I would just know the standard for every interview such as being able to speak to every bullet point on your resume and how it highlights your skills and behavioral questions like greatest weakness/strength, discuss a time you ha to make a difficult decision, etc.T14orTradeSchool wrote:Just got a request for a personal interview with Dean Ingram in Manhattan. So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive. Any suggestions for how to get to Ithaca for (relatively) cheap?

Have you applied for the travel assistance money? I don't know the ballpark figures of what they offer, but it's gotta help no matter whatherecomesthesun wrote:So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive. If you're flying - try looking at flights in Syracuse - flights into Ithaca tend to be more expensive. The drive isn't too longherecomesthesun wrote:So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive. If you don't at least name the state your school is in, it's difficult to recommend a specific way for you to get there.herecomesthesun wrote:So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive. Fly to Syracuse and rent a car or rideshare to Ithaca. I'm sure you'll find others flying in who will give you a ride (perhaps even in this thread?)herecomesthesun wrote:Texas, my badgamerish wrote:If you don't at least name the state your school is in, it's difficult to recommend a specific way for you to get there.herecomesthesun wrote:So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive. Talked to LSAC. They weren't sure what I was talking about and told me that my CAS report was already mailed out to them on the 6th. They told me to call Cornell, but I'm not going to do that because my status checker already says that my file is under review.khan wrote:saw mine this morning says the same thing and was about to die. anyone talked to LSAC or Cornell about that?heynowheynow wrote:My LSAC account currently sayshopefuljumbo23 wrote:Nope, just two. Also checked, this definitely wasn't an error when I submitted. I got in with less than the current LSAC "minimum."hopefuljumbo23 wrote:Talked to LSAC. Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I got an email re financial aid, I applied for both need and merit based aid. The email doesn't specify merit or need and I'm wondering if this is the total combined amount I'm being offered or if they are awarded separately... Anyone have any info on this?

I applied for both as well and also received an email. Based on my situation, i think the amount included in the email is the total award. Hope this helps!rychellemarie wrote:I got an email re financial aid, I applied for both need and merit based aid. I asked my Cornell friend about this and he said that a cheap option might be to fly to NYC and then take a bus to Ithaca from there using Coach USA shortline or Greyhound. Haven't looked deeply into it yet though.herecomesthesun wrote:So I'd like to go to the admitted students' day on April 15, but getting to Ithaca from my school's town is looking like a tremendous pain to do and also very expensive.
