Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

It's spooky but a ding wave just went out at Yale.

I called and confirmed it was a WL. I tried to withdraw over the phone, but the woman wouldn't let me. Sending the email now.
If you watch How to Get Away with Murder, you'll know why they don't allow folks to withdraw via phone.

still nothing here either, at this point are they really going to accept any more people? seems a bit sadistic to reject the rest of us day by day last week.

If you're wlisted would they let you know. or could it be that you can only find out via calling them?

When the status checker goes to DLS, it's either a waitlist or a ding. There are only two ways to figure out which: either call (or maybe email?) to ask or wait for the letter via snail mail.

You only see DLS on status checker and have to call them to find out. Or just wait for the letter to arrive I guess.

ETA: I know that some of you (winter et al lol) have amazing options, so don't let the DLS bum you out. Y'all are great!

All my dates are in my LSN profile linked in my TLS profile. But once they've held you for this last round of review, I think the dates are pretty meaningless.

How Winter didn't get accepted upon submission with Stanford's first ever merit aid offer I will never understand... This process is just insanely whacky.

Could you let me know if they acknowledge your withdrawal? I tried withdrawing a few weeks ago and never got a response not sure if I should awkwardly follow up on that or give them a bit more time.

Yeah, actually, they responded within five minutes with an email saying good luck at Yale. Almost made me feel guilty for being so frustrated with their process.

Pretty sure they're holding my application only to decide whether to reject me or give me a spot on the waitlist. They've waitlisted way more impressive candidates than my sad self...

I'm sure that I'm in the same boat, they have both WL'd and dinged folks that have me strictly dominated numbers-wise.

I'm thinking the same thing too. I've been under review since early December, but at least I never realistically expected to get into SLS, so I find their admissions process more bemusing than stressful.

I'm going crazy. Under review since 10/3 and STILL NOTHING. I logically should give up hope but a small part of me wants to think it's possible...

Same. If I don't get into S, I have other good options (so I'll be able to rationalize it to myself). But getting into S would make it a top contender for me.

Same here. It was my top choice going in, and even though I'll be happy if I don't get in, it's really odd because I thought I had a pretty decent shot but the weeks have just gone by...

Do we think that it is more likely that they are holding our apps because we are on the cusp of WL/Acceptance or WL/rejection?

I can't speak to anyone else's chances, and I have no reason to think that everyone left is in the same situation as I am. But for my app, I'm thinking WL/rejection. I don't think many folks get into SLS with a sub 3.3 gpa.

But then again black boxes gonna black box.

I think WL/Rejection. Just doesn't make any sense to me they'd take this long and still deciding to accept someone
