I interviewed the 11th, and my interviewer said "a couple weeks." Was hoping that would end of this week, but Monday or Tuesday seems right if it's only after all interviews are over.nicknar wrote:I want you to be right. When I signed up for my interview on 2/5 (literally probably 2 min after receiving the email) the last slot was this Friday, however apparently some people got interview requests afterwards with the last day being this Monday. So who knows. Was really hoping Friday though.buffy123 wrote:I interviewed the 11th, and my interviewer said "a couple weeks." Hi all! I interviewed 2/10 and am still waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed!
But in the meantime, I currently work a UChicago and live in Hyde Park near campus. I'm happy to answer questions about things to do in Hyde Park/Chicago for those that are visiting this weekend or for the next ASP. Just PM me

Although I've lurked long enough to understand that I have no right under the TLS hierarchy to dare to ask for a thread like this, but super stoked to be at UC in the fall and can't suppress my hope for a 2019 thread any longer!

So it seems like everyone who recently received scholarship offers was accepted in January or am I wrong? Accepted 2/4 and just trying to get a feel for the timeline re: scholly

I think this is right, with the exception of the superhumans who were accepted 2/4 and later received Ruby calls.lemondrop wrote:So it seems like everyone who recently received scholarship offers was accepted in January or am I wrong? I have a professor who has a friend who went to UChicago. He told me to not expect a lot of money from Chicago. Apparently they don't often accommodate need with very much. Their argument is that upon graduation you will either land a job that makes your loans affordable or you will do LRAP. One good thing about their LRAP program is it covers Clerkships. Anyways, from what I've heard what you are describing is to be expected.jotx wrote:i asked the financial aid person and he told me need was already calculated...i1545562 wrote:Congrats on your scholarship! In case anyone is wondering, I had a Doctoroff program interview in the past few days. PM if you want to know anything. Program sounds really cool; I would love to do it if they accept me.

As for the other poster asking about Chicago/NYU/Columbia - what would you like to know?

Hey, silly question, but is it too late to apply to the JD/MBA? I know penn allows you to apply during your 1L but I was wondering if Chicago was an all apps in at same time or nothing kind of school?

I'm sure this information is readily available on their website.liyorah wrote:Hey, silly question, but is it too late to apply to the JD/MBA? I know penn allows you to apply during your 1L but I was wondering if Chicago was an all apps in at same time or nothing kind of school?

I don't think it is. I'd look into it--Booth's website is a little obnoxious, but that would be where I would go.liyorah wrote:Hey, silly question, but is it too late to apply to the JD/MBA? There's also the option to apply during 1L year (and I've heard that in that case, you can use your LSAT instead of the GRE, but don't quote me).

Congrats to all the admits and individuals receiving scholarship so far! My question is about the post above: does this mean that interviews are essentially over and that if I haven't received an invitation to interview so far, I should consider my chances of acceptance low? My application went under review February 1 but I haven't received an interview invite. Stats are both above the 75th but I didn't apply until late (Mid January).
Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: Chicago C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
You should be fine. Interview requests don't go out until the last wave of interviews get decisions and we haven't yet. You also applied less than a month ago. I went UR 1 around 12/15 and didn't get an interview request until 2/5. The last interview wave before me got decisions on 2/4.mjsjr wrote:Hey all,Budfox55 wrote:When I signed up for my interview on 2/5 (literally probably 2 min after receiving the email) the last slot was this Friday, however apparently some people got interview requests afterwards with the last day being this Monday.
