I don't believe any non-PT applicants on here have been admitted, at least not that I've seenanomalousacp wrote:Checking in! Has any non-PT applicant heard back yet? Submitted on Thursday. Thank you!

Hey guys, do you know whether it hurts not to write a why duke if applying ED?

Seriously though, I feel like people tend to just, egh let me type up this damn why x essay because I am "suppose" to. And they put no effort and it pails in comparison to their PS and it hurts them. Don't do that.
O and don't be that. Adcomms don't like hapless fucktrucks.benwyatt wrote: you're a hapless fucktruck.

Yea, it does, and yet people still do, but that is why Cooley existbenwyatt wrote:I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm sure people do this, but I think half-assing anything for your law school apps falls firmly into the territory of hapless fucktruckitude.Generally wrote:

Re: Duke University School of Law C/O 2019 Applicants
Hey everyone.
So... I just received a PT invite today. Needless to say, and from what I've been reading, I am very surprised. I took the Oct. LSAT and scored a disappointing 161 after averaging 167 on practice exams. My gpa is 3.6 and I am a MA URM. I plan on retaking in December... but 1) what does this mean? 2) what do you guys think is the best next course of action?
Thanks guys!

Is accelerated early decision the same as PT?

Re: Duke University School of Law C/O 2019 Applicants
Do PT invites specifically mention Priority Track?
I got a fee waiver today, but my current LSAT score shouldn't have warranted a PT in my opinion (under 25 percentile, median GPA, non URM, male). They did not mention PT anywhere, but the line that confused me was
"The priority application deadline is February 15, 2016, but we encourage you to apply as soon as you have your materials ready."
I don't know if that deadline is for PT or not, and if this is by any chance a PT invite or simply a fee waiver?
Thanks

That's what I figured. Thanks! Would it be too late to solicit for PT by late December?gobears!! wrote:They are clear when you get PT and explain it. The priority deadline is pretty much the general deadline. If you get your app in by that date then you are reviewed. I also got a waiver with no PT offer.LetsGoNow wrote:Do PT invites specifically mention Priority Track?

PT applicants have to register. You can try to solicit pt from admissions but you really have to sell the why Duke in the email.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
