I feel like there is a good chance we'll see JS2s tomorrow since it looks like there are a ton of JS1s the following two weeks and they'll be tied up? I'm sure its just my wishful thinking though.

I very much want that to be true (evident by my morning mantra of,"Today is the day I get into Harvard"). The evidence for an early January round: all of that "around the new year" talk we heard in our JS1s.tflan19 wrote:I feel like there is a good chance we'll see JS2s tomorrow since it looks like there are a ton of JS1s the following two weeks and they'll be tied up? There's evidence against (they have had an early Jan round in a few years), but I'll just ignore that.

Hey, long time lurker here. Just out of curiosity, what happens if you miss the JS2 phone call? Do they leave a message, or email you, or both?

Both I'm pretty sure. Email might come one day later, at least that's what happened in the first wave this cycle.Schneidersbetter wrote:Hey, long time lurker here. Just out of curiosity, what happens if you miss the JS2 phone call? Do they leave a message, or email you, or both?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Hi all - first time poster here, so please excuse the ignorance. I went complete on 10/21 but have yet to see any change in the Status Checker since then. Basically everywhere else I have applied, I have at the very least had one update, or even heard back. Is this abnormal for Harvard, as in I should perhaps consider checking in with admissions, or should I not be surprised by this? Or, (hopefully not), does it mean they took one look at my application, laughed, and put it at the bottom of the pile to look at in March? Any insight would be much appreciated, so thanks in advance.

Status checker only updates when decision is made, the only other movement you'll see is if you get an interview request (which shows up in the mailings section). Good luck!newb90 wrote:Hi all - first time poster here, so please excuse the ignorance. I went complete on 10/21 but have yet to see any change in the Status Checker since then. Clearly the HLS adcoms want to see this poll get to 200 votes before they send out another wave of JS2s. Let's make it happen!!

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
At this point I've woken up every weekday/non-holiday morning since 12/8 thinking the second round of JS2s would come that day. So it's kind of a relief to say that I've now officially given up hope. They are never coming.
But, you know, on second thought it's only when you stop expecting JS2s that they actually come...
So logically, that means the next round will be Monday, right?
right?
please?

Nope, by suggesting that given that you've lost hope, JS2's will come Monday, you've indicated some expectation that they'll come Monday. Now we have to wait until an unexpected future date.jetsfan1 wrote:At this point I've woken up every weekday/non-holiday morning since 12/8 thinking the second round of JS2s would come that day. (Hopefully this nullified your expectation)

Yeah that's sort of the paradoxical point haha. You can only have hope when all hope is gone.QuentonCassidy wrote:This is it.
