It's looking like I'm going to be ready to submit all my apps by Sept 1 but I think I'm going to wait a couple weeks on the ones I don't have waivers for yet to see if anything changes

I might wait to hear back from Duke before submitting my other apps. If I get WL'd or something I might want to spruce things up before sending to other places..

So Columbia does not explicitly say that they do not honor individual requests, but they do say this: The $85 application fee is rarely waived, and only waived in extenuating circumstances. If you would like to request an application fee waiver, send a detailed email to gls@law.columbia.edu outlining your reasons for requesting the waiver.

Is not wanting to pay $85 dollars an appropriate extenuating circumstance?
