I'm going on a trip for about a month, and don't have anyone to watch my mail while I'm gone. Do you think it would be crazy to send ask the office if I could get a decision via email instead of a letter? I don't want to drive myself crazy about it while I'm gone.

Not going to lie, I'm pretty confused by Columbia. Complete late October, 174/3.9+, and crickets. But congrats everyone!!!

Seems like they're sending out all decisions (including big-whammy scholarships) via email now, so there's no need to email the admissions office for that.

I mean if they're holding me why not send me a hold email like they did for other applicants?

Who knows. A bunch of us are in this same position and nobody has a real answer.

Also, I'm a re-applicant. Any idea what it might mean that I was waitlisted less than a month after Complete last year, and now its been over two months and still crickets? Good?/Bad?/No Clue?

What is the generally accepted rule of thumb for sending a LOCI?

Pleasantly surprised with acceptance. Mylsn had me at a 50-50 shot, and never got an interview request.

Congrats to everyone who got admitted.

What does being held mean? Is it like the waitlist? Do a lot of held people end up getting in?

I'd respond and ask if the email was maybe for someone else. Don't think it can hurt, especially with the error on their end

Mine also wrongly mentioned the business school application.

My email had the same language and I didn't apply to the business school. I'd just assume they sent out a broad email.

also held. anyone know if there is information on TLS that looks at scholarship money for those who were held then accepted in the past?

I'm probably going to ride it out, for no other reason to keep my options open at this point. Anyone withdrawing?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
