Sort of a weird question but for those who were submitted, did your email address (as its displayed in your status checker) change to lowercase letters? A friend of mine told me that this was the "status checker hack" when he was applying and I'm wondering if it still works? Apparently once Stanford had made a decision, your email address would be changed from all caps to lowercase letters and you'd get a decision within a day or two thereafter.

I have not been admitted, my email is in lowercase letters though. I didn't notice it before, so I can't say if it has changed. Is your email all uppercase?

Yeah, it's been fixed. People with lowercase emails probably started off that way; there were a few like that last cycle too, and they were all furious because the emails did change before a phone call and so they couldn't tell in advance.

Mine is also in lowercase, and IIRC it has been for a long time. No decision.

Aw, come on. As last year's applicants can attest, it is just not the Stanford thread without freakouts about the status checker every page! The lowercase/upper case debate is classic and soon someone will panic that they can't log into their status checker. It's practically tradition at this point!

What does DLS stand for?

Yes. Surprising how Yale and Stanford have been quiet. Last year the 28th-30th as seen on LSN were big days.
