Had my interview a couple of days ago. I think it went decently, even though I also felt like my interviewer was not overly impressed with me but I'm glad to hear others feel the same way. It's probably intentional.

My status changed back to under review right after the interview, and the date just changed again today. I'm starting to get really anxious, especially since my numbers are not too competitive.

I just posted on the thread linked to on page 56 (the one with the useful interview info that Regulus started). The questions I was asked have been posted by other people already, so I think that thread is very useful for future interviewees. I think it was:
1. Why law school and why now
2. What were the things you were looking for in a law school when you were deciding where to apply (so I guess that's one way to phrase "why Chicago")
3. A significant achievement you're proud of
4. A significant difficulty you've overcome (which I think overlaps a little bit with the previous question so try to have more than one example in case you're asked similar questions)
5. How would your professors/peers describe you (I never liked that one...)
6. Most difficult class you've taken (could be because I'm still in school, so you could probably expect a question about a challenge at work if you've graduated a while ago)
7. Do you have nay hesitation that this is the right time for you to go to law school as opposed to doing something else/working
And then I was given the opportunity to ask a couple of questions, so I asked something about a clinic and a journal I was interested in.

I just got an interview invite! Complete 11/1, UR 1/3. I thought I was either auto-ding or at best auto-WL given that I have no high LSAT to counter my meh GPA. Chicago was such an unlikely possibility that I haven't even researched the school at all. Guess I'll have to start!

to those interviewing, my questions were all the same as those that have been mentioned, except she also asked why I picked my majors since they don't seem to go together very well (philosophy and biology)

The consensus seems to be that another date change indicates a decision has been made on the file. I found this on page 37:

WhiteyCakes, we previously had the same dates...are you still at 12/21 or did you update today as well?

Still at 12/21, which is why I suspect there is nothing to the January interview date changes

you guys are prob correct. my theory is this: all of us have had decisions made on our respective files. thus, the multiple UR dates after interview (ive had 4 total UR now, including the post-interview update). the fact that you have had almost a month pass without a UR date, while others including myself did not have even a week pass just now before another UR, means they probably decided on you back in december, whereas they are just deciding on us today.

my optimistic theory is that they are updating a few more today just so they can wrap up the cases on a few more people before sending out initial accepts or waitlists (inevitably such as myself...) today or tomorrow.

1/23 - in via e-mail

I don't really know what they mean or anything... I guess the first UR after the interview is indicating that the application is back under review, and the next one is the decision?

I finished that data project I was working on, so if anyone is interested, PM me and I will send you a copy. It's based on all LSN info from the 2003/4 through the 2011/12 cycle for the T14 schools. I did analysis on the increases in chances of admission for URM applicants, ED applicants (as a whole, and a comparison of results for splitters, reverse-splitters, and non-splitters), the benefits of applying early, and LSAT and GPA scores. I did the same for scholarship money with all those variables, and some quantification of URM-status in terms of its LSAT and GPA equivalents both for chances at acceptance and scholarship money. It took a good long while, and may not be particularly helpful to any of us at this point, but it may be for future applicants, and is kind of interesting if you're into that sort of thing.

My stats are LSAT 170 and GPA is below 25th percentile.

Got a Rubenstein. The $10,000 stipend is just a delicious, bright red cherry on top of a delicious, delicious sunday.

same thoughts when i got mine. do you guys know if rubies are "transferrable"? Do they keep offering it to more people as someone turns it down? Or is it like the Hamilton where they only make the initial offers and no re-offers? If the former, I should probably make a decision fairly quickly to not be a jerk

They give out 20/yr (this is the last year). So if you turn it down, it will be offered to someone else.
