I think it's my iPhone. I tried to do the same thing with the Big Purple from NYU and it came out bluish.

I certainly wouldn't say it's vomit colored, though.

For some reason, I thought VCE's were smaller.

The envelope is sort of a very slightly greenish gold. I just went "Decision Finalized" at USC yesterday, so knowing that one of their colors is gold I just thought they overnight shipped a packet or something.

Ok I know what amuses me, namely the picture:


1) The envelope is destroyed, and you can barely tell that it's from Columbia... the picture was obviously taken in excitement too.
2) There is a coupon for a discount on a subscription to The New Yorker
3) There is some kind of giant, white, cartoon dog on the campus map

If I recall correctly from last year's VCE-meltdown thread, the first day was only NYC people and then they started arriving elsewhere over the course of the following days. Then again, this cycle has been bizarre so who knows what to expect.

So I can respond to all of these:

1) I totally wrecked the envelope, but to be fair it was crunched up inside my very small NYC mail box, so it was already torn.
2) That coupon was used to cover my personal information on the "V"CE
3) There is no map That is a cartoon dog on this week's cover of the New Yorker. I added it "hostage is still alive" style to prove that it came today, but I posted before I realized that you can clearly see the day and year on the letter

Weird question. I applied ED, and received a response in November. I went into my email today to read it (so as to start writing a LOCI), and it's gone. Maybe I woke up in the middle of the night in rage and got rid of it, who knows. Either way, I have no idea what my status is. I know I didn't get rejected -- does that mean deferred? Do they read my app again in April?

Is it kind of sad that this thread just brought tears to my eyes for Addy? I've been following your cycle somewhat closely and I'm just so happy for you! Even though I have not a fucking clue who you are. Major congrats to you and whoever else was already accepted.

I have a friend IRL named Addy so the S/N always stuck out. (Now I sound like a freak stalker, excuse me while I go jump)

That is extremely sweet! The TLS community is something else. I'm afraid to go to law school and encounter people who are cut throat because I have been completely overcome by how kind and supportive everyone on here is. I remember so many horrible LSAT practice tests, and agonizing over past mistakes and convincing myself that CCN were just never going to happen. I feel really lucky, and I am humbled by the support on here
