I hope someone enjoys my spot and takes full advantage. I love Miami. I couldn't pull the trigger.

Temple. Its about 12k cheaper per year. Also, it seems to place really well in Philly, and if I'm somehow toward the top of the class, I could even make a case for NY with my ties.
I went for a visit on Wednesday, and was very impressed.
Miami offered the highest quality of life, but I was worried about the market and the cost of attendance. I tried to negotiate money, but like everyone else, to no avail.
Good luck!! Lemme know when your status changes!Intraining wrote:valentina5 wrote:paid deposit...still hoping to get in at FSU though...let's see what happens

An admissions packet comes in the mail sometime after you get the online admissions letter.dadamafia wrote:Thanks.sknight323 wrote:How were you notified? I'm hoping to get off the waitlist too but haven't heard anything yet. Congratulations!![]()
I received an email stating "CHECK YOUR myUM ACCOUNT FOR UPDATES" and as soon as I logged in I was slapped across my face with their letter of congrats. I'm not really sure what the next step is from here(besides the seat deposit) and do not know if I should be expecting anything in the mail. I'm kinda busy with work right now as well so I'll worry about all things UM at the beginning of next week.
For what it is worth, I made absolutely zero contact with UM after I was waitlisted. I was slightly surprised with the decision because I thought my application was strong enough to be accepted(sadly, I wont share my numbers). I visited UM before, but that was over a year ago and I highly doubt they would have any record of that. I emailed them shortly after I applied(and did not receive a response) and that is about the limit of any communication I have had with admissions(unless my family in Miami have been secretly harassing them...).

It may be too soon...? I wouldn't call yet. But, that's just me.RAB wrote:I clicked that link and got the " please call the admissions office" message. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see this being good news since its only been a few days since the deposit was due and prob filled the class and now getting rid of a lot of waitlist applicants. I guess we shall see.

It's very very early in the WL game right now. They won't actually know what their class is until after the second deposit and even after that people will still drop due to getting off other waitlists etc. Dont give up hope so soon!RAB wrote:I clicked that link and got the " please call the admissions office" message.
