Wow congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats? Also, did your status checker change at all after your hold?onetime1 wrote:Off the Hold list - this morning via email!

Just got a scholarship email -- $35k per year. Obviously puts BC on my map now, and I will definitely try to rearrange my schedule for the ASW.

Thanks! My status check did change, but only after I received the email - it should say something like Decision Rendered, then the new decision date (before, it only had the date that I received my original hold decision!) Can't believe it, really - my stats were 167/3.1, but that's with a pretty strong upward trend. Just really grateful today!

What's your reason for saying this? I'm not doubting you, I'm just asking because every school claims to have "holistic approach."
Basically, a lot of people felt they were in the same position as you (i.e., "admit" on LSP, numbers above medians), yet they were WLed/rejected.
I'm just saying that you can't consider BC an "auto-admit" school in the same way as you can for WashU, Emory, etc
Point taken. I think the holistic approach applies more in the way you mentioned in that there are no "auto-admits" among those with high LSATs. However, for any given year there seems to be a pretty clear LSAT cutoff for non-URMs.

Same here!onetime1 wrote:Off the Hold list - this morning via email!
Bit surprised, didn't send LOCI or anything like that after the hold, did you?
I always thought it was pretty much a given that you had to send one to be accepted off hold
Not complaining though, first (and last) bit of love from Boston for me!

did you guys already submit your FASFA and BC financial aid docs? or is this purely merit, nothing else needed?Non-Chalant1 wrote:I got the same thing.BlakcMajikc wrote:Just got a scholarship email -- $35k per year. Great offer. I only received a small amount and it has made the decision quite hard. I love the NE but BC and BU are just too expensive after you factor in the cost of living.BlakcMajikc wrote:Just got a scholarship email -- $35k per year. Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
Some folks on this thread have gotten emails/calls regarding interviews for the Public Service scholly. I am still under review, but don't want to miss out on being reviewed by the scholly committee if I eventually get in. Do you guys think I should email admissions inquiring whether I there is a deadline to be admitted for consideration of the scholly, or do you think they are doing rolling interviews?? I did receive an email from scholly committee saying they received my application, but they won't review it until they know whether I am admitted or not.

There must have been something very special in your app to make them admit you 3 days before you were even under review!NOLA Proud wrote:In via Email!!!
