big law placement according to NLJ not too promising

Just got it in the mail today and I agree - very impressive. It's very reassuring that they compiled such an extensive packet and were so open about everything. Must say too that the salary info is quite appealing to look at....

I was also impressed.

That's true, but the employment packet offers a more in-depth analysis of professional placement, including their most recent OCI statistics.
While W&L may not place well in the NLJ250, they have decent placement statistics considering ITE.

I received my 6th consecutive W&L parcel of mail today and in it was all the employment information. I hold much more respect for the school after looking through it. The school and Mr. Twitty have been accommodating and informative throughout my cycle. I wouldn't, however, place too much weight on their salary info. It is self reporting and those not employed or not gainfully employed have less of a desire to report. Still reassuring though.

It all depends on the scholarship money, but I'll be going to the March Open House and W&L is definitely up there. Anyone else going to March Opeh House?

admitted 1/14, 35k annual scholarship stip. 3.15GPA. Anyone have an idea how difficult that GPa will be to hold?

Not sure, should I start a W&L class of 2014 though? I want a group for people with positive vibes for W&L.

About 70% of the class achieves that GPA (or better) according to the director of admissions. That's an awesome scholarship, congrats!

W&L is just about at the top of my list. I want to visit before deciding, and I'll be there for the March open house! I'd say shortly after that I'll make the official decision.

Any of the waitlisted folks here do the phone interview? I remember a couple of you saying that you did. I want to, but I am afraid I will screw something up. Apparently, I suck at interviews. I can't land a job to save my life.

Received notice yesterday that I would not be receiving any scholarship and would thus be relegated to paying sticker. However, Law School Numbers is saying that all of those admitted around my numbers received 10-20k/yr, I guess its due to the fact I applied late in the cycle.

Sent a letter for re-consideration, will post the result.

heard back today, and unfortunately, they did not raise their offer. Seems like they're funds are tied up, will be withdrawing for another W&L hopeful. God bless!

+1. I have been accepted to better schools that have offered me 10x more money. However, I would still really like to go to W&L. Does anyone know if they redistribute funds after the first seat deposit?
