Went under review on 4/4. Undergrad GPA: 3.55, Grad GPA: 3.92, LSAT: 156
I'm an alum of FSU... So hopefully that helps! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Still "under review" today...hopefully we'll start hearing by the end of this week. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Re: FSU c/o2014 Applicants!
Does FSU make decisions in batches?
hmmm IMO...again, IMO...if FSU gives everyone w/same "under review" dates the same decision, then 4/4 group isn't looking too great...there are lots of mid-150s in the group...I'm NOT saying that 4/4 ppl will be dinged...I'm just looking at the numbers and I'm just throwing a guess out there...besides, I don't really know about their strategy...does anyone have a better idea?

It's fair to say that likely a majority of the 4/4 group will be dinged... but that certainly does not mean all of the group will.valentina5 wrote:Does FSU make decisions in batches?

Re: FSU c/o2014 Applicants!
I will be thrilled if I'm accepted by FSU, but I'm not getting my hopes up. My low LSAT score has killed my applications. It really pisses me off that I was consistently scoring mid-160s on timed practice tests and choked on test day. I guess its not surprising considering that my life was a train wreck at the time I took the LSAT.
I'm going to attend Miami if I'm rejected by FSU and will work my tail off to be a competitive applicant for transfer to a higher ranked school.

This may seem lame or obvious, and probably like something you've heard before, but why not retake at a time when you're under less stress and then apply/attend a better school next cycle? If you're in-state/don't get into FSU...you could save a lot of money doing this. Miami isn't worth the money even for a year, imo. Good luck with whatever you choose, though. And with transferring if that's how it ends up going for you.careerchange2010 wrote:I will be thrilled if I'm accepted by FSU, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I went under review on 4/4 and got a phone call today that I was accepted. I received the call pretty late in the afternoon, so maybe they didn't get to everyone. Best of luck to those who are waiting.

Thanks! No, I was a late applicant. I submitted my application early March.

Okay...so I guess there are two 4/4 groups...one w/late applicants and another w/hold applicants...hopefully those from the latter group will hear back today or tomorrow...then maybe we can start to see whether or not there is a pattern to all of this madness lolmrhicks wrote:valentina5 wrote:

Last year the holds started hearing back around the 7th...just saying. Does seem like we have a smaller group of applicants than last year on here, so who knows if were going to find out much.

I'm pretty sure FSU doesn't do the whole "batch" thing that UF is pretty excited about...unless its for rejections. I went under review with many people and we all got decisions at different points, some HOLD , some reject, and some IN. I really don't think this is as predictable as the UF deal. Especially with the review system. Granted, FSU does go by the strength of app for review purposes but many people who applied late in the cycle like 168 guy are also being reviewed. I wouldn't read too much into this stuff. Its just going to stress you out.

Okay fair enough...but looking for a pattern, even if it's nonexistent, helps pass the time! lol
I'm maintaining my cool...for now...if I don't get an answer (preferably a phone call!) by April 15th before 5PM then
