May be true, however looking at LSN it doesn't seem like Vandy does this to the degree that other schools do. I see a lot of people with the same decision date but different decisions. GL to all.

how are you all feeling about this? i'm having trouble figuring out whether this is a good or a bad sign. there seems to be a wide range of us on this date, although it also seems like practically all of us are at or above median as far as scores are concerned...

I'm honestly quite unsure. I feel like there are definitely some people who (based at least on numbers) who would very likely be admitted, and then some who tend more towards being waitlisted. Obviously, the best outcome would be that 2/12 is an all-accept batch, but I think it might be a mixed bag.

It seems like we're a pretty diverse batch in terms of date submitted, interview/no interview, numbers, pretty much anything. I think I'm probably the hardest splitter of the group though, and I'm not sure if splitters have been doing too well at Vandy this year.

depends on what they think is going to happen with the t14s. if they think that they can afford to waitlist a lot of people at that level because those people won't get into any t14s, then they may try to bump their median up ambitiously and then have plan B be a REALLY robust waitlist.

...or i could just be exaggerating a bit too much. i know for a fact that people have been having trouble AT the median...166. i've seen a couple waitlists between 167 and 169, but that doesn't mean that that is what everyone is getting. obviously the LSAT isn't EVERYTHING either..

normal USPS (airmail? which is really not that fast), by which I mean, not DHL, Fedex, or UPS.

I've been complete since 11/24? Anybody else experienced this? Has Vanderbilt began rejecting people this cycle yet or is it just Acceptances and Waitlists being mailed out so far? Think this could be a soft wait list possibly? I sent an additional "Why Vanderbilt?" essay to let them know I was still interested (figured I had nothing really to lose).

LSN shows plenty sub-170s in at Vandy. Below a 169 (mainly only 167s and 168s) though they seem to be mainly taking only 3.7+ GPAs with a couple exceptions. Their LSAT and GPA medians are 168/3.71, so this makes sense.
