Are they really still calling people who applied late november/early december....don't pump me up if theres no hope....i applied 12/1 complete later december

+1 to this question, as I am in the same boat. I was under the impression that I had been placed in an "eh" pile whereby they try to get hotter applicants and then, if they get turned down, come back to the old trusty backup. True or False: the "eh" pile exists at Stanford?

yeah i wonder this too. i went complete around end of oct/early nov so wtf is taking so long?

I think I posted this earlier, but the only thing I can see from this is that while *generally* they go chronologically, there are still plenty of people from Oct/Nov that they keep for a long time...BUT only to reject as late as late April. So even if there is an "eh" pile, it doesn't really mean anything for you when the decision comes, other than anguish.

LSN gives the impression they accept/reject a lot of people in mid-April regardless of when they went complete.

This is getting to be very unsettling. Maybe they just don't like any of us this year. Have ya'll sent in LOCIs or other addenda even though you've heard nothing from them? Is this okay?

I did because I love Stanford and they accept like 5-10 people of the WL every year so that's a bad place to be.

Why I feel that silence from Stanford is a good thing
and I think I'll echo the above poster in that it seemed Stanford gives a lot of decisions later rather than earlier... or so I was under the impression of....
