I got accepted, so now what?

What's up with financial aid? I want Obama to pay for my law education.

I'm in the batch that mailed 3/20. I'm at work until 4pm today and can't concentrate on anything other than checking the mail this afternoon. I know that last Wedensday's batch had some acceptances (and I think some waitlists possibly). I hope there are some acceptances in the round that mailed on Friday...

I just got accepted. This kind of throws a wrench in my life, seeing as I was pretty confident I would be at villanova next fall. I had made my peace with staying close to home,selling my soul in the name of debt, had been in touch with realtors, etc etc. And now, levin, you decide you want me after all. And you're the only top 50 school that hasn't waitlisted me, so I like you even more than I thought I would. Asshole. And then penn state sends me an envelope with so much aid it might as well be stuffed with hundred dollar bills. Now I have to THINK about things again. Ugh.

In other news, 3.2/162 OOS non urm. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!

Congrats! Were you in the 18th or 20th status change? I'm betting 18th.

Does anyone think there is still any acceptances to be sent out,or should I resign myself now? Maybe the WL lettr that said there were no more acceptances ...didn't really mean it?

I was in the 3/20 group of DIT... Wait-list letter came this morning, dated 3/20.

It does say ".... we regret to inform you that as of this date, the Admissions Committee has extended all of the Fall 2009 admissions offers. While we are not able to offer you a seat in the Fall 2009 class, your name has been placed on the wait-list for that class. In the event of an opening, we will contact you immediately. Please note that you could be notified anytime prior to the start of classes on August 18, 2009...."

There's a response form to send back in as well.

I think the in-state numbers of those who went blank today are going to get you in. Makes me think Friday's mailing is going to be bad news for me.

I was "reviewed: DP" for several weeks with a 156/3.63, non-traditional, OOS. I keep telling myself they have to admit people with numbers like mine or their statistics wouldn't work out. Here's to wishful thinking.

The odds are in favor of those WL letters to be form letters. UF isn't going to spend time writing individualized WL notifications. Fear not, it appears as though it is time to weed through the bulk of applicants now that those outside the middle 50% have had a decision rendered.

It makes sense from their perspective, but come on and hurry up already. Deposits are due son!

Edit: If everyone went blank today (which it seems), my crackpot theory is busted!
