I also got an interview request today. I submitted in early November as well. This may be posted elsewhere, but what should I be expecting from an interview?
Good luck, everybody!

Mine was super chill, lasted about 45 minutes just talking about why law, why Virginia, my work experience, my hobbies on my resume, etc. I didn't get tossed any political questions and there were no curveballs either. At the end, I was told you could hear back within weeks or months after your interview but got accepted 2 days later so I think that all depends on who interviewed you as well! All in all, I think getting an interview invite is a sign of good things to comedasq5511 wrote:dittoyouknowsimone wrote:I also got an interview request today. I submitted in early November as well. Thank you! I just didn't know if I should get more familiar with some of the programming that UVA offers. Honestly, I was more expecting to get waitlisted or denied, so now that I'm having an interview I'm gonna refamiliarize myself with the school and hopefully I won't flop itChristinabruin wrote:Mine was super chill, lasted about 45 minutes just talking about why law, why Virginia, my work experience, my hobbies on my resume, etc. I didn't get tossed any political questions and there were no curveballs either. No problem! And yeah I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to get familiar with some of UVA's programs so you can show you did your research! But I would say it was more of a casual thing and half of that time was filled with questions I had regarding UVA and Charlottesville and talking about sports lolyouknowsimone wrote:Thank you! Just finished interview over the phone. I feel like it went well but it was really short... around 10 minutes. Is that a bad sign? I have been researching UVA and I'm more excited than ever about the school so I'm really anxious to hear back!!

Mine also was short. A little over 15 minutes. I was expecting more questions! It felt very positive though. Not sure how long it will take to hear backhaley12 wrote:Just finished interview over the phone. I feel like it went well but it was really short... around 10 minutes. Is that a bad sign? Chris Colby - I interviewed by phone and he called me back later in the day to let me know. No email, the packet came via snail mail a while later.Reid-Bailey wrote:Who interviewed you?
