Thank you Wahrheit for the help, much appreciated.Wahrheit wrote:Ours was a form where they had you list 3 schools and their corresponding offers, and then there was a text box where you could add more info / explain / plead. Simple. They get back to you with the updated offer via email.mosesboeba wrote:Wahrheit - thanks for your consistently helpful advice ITT. can you elaborate a bit on what the appeal form looks like? haven't heard of a similar process for responding to/challenging scholarship offers at other schools so i'm really curious. thanks in advance.Wahrheit wrote:There is an official appeal form that they will send you. You can wait until then.
Can I ask when the scholarship appeal form will be sent out? I don't think I'm going to get any larger offers, and would prefer to know sooner rather than later how much Chicago will offer (max) to help decide whether or not to book a flight to ASW. I'm inclined to just email them and ask

Fair enough, I guess I was curious if there was a trend over the last couple years of when it was usually released. Didn't see any info on their site so I thought I'd ask here. Appreciate the help! I will most certainly be polite and appreciativeWahrheit wrote:I'm just a student, there's no way for me to know. If you have any questions you want official answers to, you should email them. And be polite! They work hard. <3
ETA but you should come to ASW anyway because it's awesome

I doubt it'll be make-or-break! Please don't worry too much about it.seagan823 wrote:Tested out my skype connection and camera last night to make sure I would be ready for my interview today. Worked perfectly. This morning I tested how I looked on camera using photobooth, which made me realize my glasses were reflecting the screen and I should put in my contacts. After trying to fix it for 5 minutes, she asked me to reschedule for next Monday.
I sent an apology/thank you email, but I guess that is all I can do. Feeling pretty bummed right now. Has this happened to anyone else? I know it doesn't reflect well, but this can't be a make or break, can it?
I obviously can't predict anything about your admissions process in particular, but I can say that I know people who had technical problems with their interview who got in. The admissions office, in general, is reasonable. It'll be okay! Hang in there, and I'm sorry that this happened to you.

This is probably going to be one of the admissions office timelines that varies the most -- both from year to year, and from person to person. I would love to give you more information, but I just don't think there's good information to give you.pittsburghpirates wrote:+1 also interested in this as I currently am in waitlist purgatoryJames.K.Polk wrote:Wahrheit, another question - do you know when the "bulk" of students got admitted off the WL? Mike Spivey has written a lot about these kinds of things; you might want to look at his blog or his answers on this site for his thoughts on waitlist timing.

I'm assuming they start pulling the bulk of waitlist admits after the first deposit is due on April 29th. You're maybe looking at May/June? Then again I'm no authority on this, and everything I'm saying is speculation...

Wait, what? I haven't seen anything about this. I'm currently in Chicago and had scheduled a one on one thing for Tuesday because it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it to ASW. So what exactly is going on Friday, and is it too late for me to try to make it?Wahrheit wrote:It's like a one day ASW, for the people who can't make a whole weekend work. I will, but could you tell me what the subject of the email should be about? I don't want to start randomly accosting deans because there may be something going on. That would make me look dumb. (I'm not PMing this because I think it may matter to a few people on here besides me).Wahrheit wrote:Email Dean Perry!Dcc617 wrote:Wait, what? I haven't seen anything about this. I also had tech issues on skype, but the interviewer called me on my cell phone and we commenced the interview that way.seagan823 wrote:Tested out my skype connection and camera last night to make sure I would be ready for my interview today. Thanks, I appreciate the support! I guess you're right, if they want me, a broken camera shouldn't keep me out. Plus I can go over my interview questions and responses some more, so that should be helpful.

It's past the deadline to RSVP but if you ask very nicely they might still let you sign up.

Any predictions on when decisions might be coming out for those of us that had interviews in February? I'm guessing (hoping) for this Friday.

I want you to be right. I think the last available interview slot was for 2/29 though, so my guess is it will be either Monday or Tuesday.killingmesoftly wrote:Any predictions on when decisions might be coming out for those of us that had interviews in February?
