My application went complete on 12/08, and I got the invite yesterday morning, so it does seem like at least some early/mid-December applicants were included in this round.

Just wondering, is there a general cutoff for income after which there's no point in applying for need-based aid? Or is the consensus that everyone should be applying for need-based aid?

Interested in this too - I know they say they include parents income until you're 28 (or 29 maybe?) but if the student truly does have no resources and parents are not contributing in any way will they still toss you some money?lawstud24 wrote:Just wondering, is there a general cutoff for income after which there's no point in applying for need-based aid? Just out of curiosity, what did you guys say for the Why Harvard? parts of your interviews. I feel like it's difficult to come up with a unique answer.

Can the next poll be about the type of school people are from - e.g. Ivy, Top 20, state school, international etc? I'm from a no-name local college, and it's really cool to see that half the people here and on the FB page seem to be from Ivy or Top 20 universities.Hildegard15 wrote:We need another wave of JS2s to go out so I can change the poll!

I just talked about opportunities, the specific offerings it had that I was interested in. They know why Harvard to a degree, so I think it's about talking about your interests/goals and what specifically you would be drawn to there.ugg wrote:Just out of curiosity, what did you guys say for the Why Harvard? parts of your interviews.
