Has any one heard of someone getting an interview without getting in? It doesn't seem like that happens often, if ever. What, then, would be the point of the interview?

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I got a letter about a week after my acceptance packet telling me about the process for applying for financial aid. I got my hopes up when I saw it because I thought they wanted to give me money.Generally wrote:Y'all I need immediate help. My wife just told me I got two envelopes in the mail from UVA but then proceeded to go into work and not tell me what they were. Did anyone else admitted get mail from UVA besides the admission package/admit letter? I am super curious now and I don't want to wait until I get home. Cheers

Didn't you visit the school? Based on last year's thread, they sent unsolicited checks in the mail to people who visited, so that may be the second letter - you didn't need to submit your expenses or anything.

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Last cycle, my family and I stopped in Charlottesville for dinner on our way to North Carolina. I didn't contact admissions or even really plan to visit UVA, but my dad wanted to see the law school so we stopped by and looked at the outside (didn't even go into the building). On our way back to the car, I saw Grace Cleveland and said hi and chatted for maybe 30 seconds because she was on her way home. Went to NC. Received a check in the mail a few weeks later. So that was pretty much unsolicited

Have an interview with Cordel this afternoon! Any especial last-minute advice? Hope it's largely the same general questions as last year!

But http://www.budgetinncharlottesville.com is pretty close.

You can go on Priceline name your price and get the DoubleTree on 29 for like $50/60 per night. It's a bit run down but the beds are comfy and you get a warm cookie.lawandorder2019 wrote:There is no campus, only grounds.slippin_jimmy wrote:Anyone know any cheap places to book close to campus? Anybody here thinking about applying to the Range? Warm fireplaces, good times, and outdoor bathrooms...what more could you want?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
