Welp, looks like we are nearing the wave of waitlists/acceptances/rejects. April will be a month full of tears and blood.fra wrote:Maybe this from mylsn?mwonka wrote:i feel like i saw a chart that indicated a ton of rejections in february, followed by a wave of acceptances and some rejections in march, then the big movement in april as they do their final review of held applications and fill out their class.
let me try to find that. . .
But I hope not, because your description sounds more optimistic than this chart...

Well, very few acceptances were reported in March -- at least to my knowledge, so who knows really? This cycle really does seem strange. Or maybe all cycles are "strange" (unique), and we just say that they are strange to comfort ourselves.
Right now, right now? Or this is the first time you've checked in x amount of hours?
I have to know, because I am complete 1/8!!!

It must've changed at some point within the past few hours! Last time I checked was about 3 hours ago.Oskosh wrote: Right now, right now? Or this is the first time you've checked in x amount of hours?

Hey, I apologized.
Besides, my neuroticism has led me to post what I believe is useful information to the thread. Aaand I now truly believe that there is no pattern to the upcoming DLS. Maybe those who were on the fringes? It jumped around in months.
Sorry, but this is the waiters thread, and speculation and neuroticism are bound to happen. Plus it's April, and this is my last status checker school.

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Is it clear that Stanford has accepted as many people this cycle as they did last year at this point? I've been following this thread and LSN and don't think I've seen more than 30 or so people with acceptances...seems like things may be going a lot different than last cycle. Just a thought.Oskosh wrote:Welp, looks like we are nearing the wave of waitlists/acceptances/rejects. I spoke to 3 people at 2 different ASWs last week who said they had just gotten a call from Dean Deal (quite happy to let strangers know) during the week prior. We all know that there are people who don't post online or wait until the end if the cycle & then post, so maybe the sampling will look off until more people post online.

Last minute acceptances before they review the entire applicant pool in April, perhaps?

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I think these calls could be considered the beginning of the April "second review." Just based on the October complete date shared by lionrampant. Stanford isn't strictly chronological (at least they weren't in the first review) so there could be some later dates (Oct) before earlier ones (Sep).Oskosh wrote:Last minute acceptances before they review the entire applicant pool in April, perhaps?
