Thanks all who answered!

Also, historically (for past admits, if any are looking) did everyone seem to go DLS on the status checker around the same time on wave days or were there multiple "waves" per day that had a lot of decisions?

Did you try to type in everything? (don't copy paste your L number) Also, make sure your birthday is the right format with "/"s.

IN AT NYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For future people or for lurkers, remember to add the "L" in front of your LSAC ID number. The example underneath makes it look like you don't have to so I was freaking out and convinced that I wasn't in until I wondered if I needed the "L", typed it in, and was asked to change my password. Gave me a heart attack of extreme sadness. Also, don't call the admissions people when you're mid panic--the lady I called was sweet but she couldn't tell me anything and then said "expect an email" which I took to mean rejection and, of course, freaked out more about.

Sweet Jesus today has been emotional

Seriously guys, calling within a few hours of DLS is kind of bad judgment. If there are no extenuating circumstances, why not be patient and wait until they communicate with you?

Seconded, as much as I understand the panic-induced urge.

ETA: But congrats! To you and all today's admits!

+1. UR2 on 12/22...no idea what to take from this. Bad sign or just frustrating?

Jeez. I hope my comment didn't read to other posters the way this comment read to me.

I'm not trying to be the police, but I think the main point is to be patient and mindful of the admissions office's time (they're a small staff), especially when they have basically just told you "we're sending you a message in second."

Congrats to everyone for all the things.

Ditto to the comment re: too much flipping out from all sides... why can't we all just be one happy family

Just received my acceptance call. The admissions officer said he loved my honest response when I admitted to already logging into the admit page and incessantly refreshing the status checker. He said he predicts that I'll pass the MPRE with flying colors hahaha

I hope my comment didn't read to other posters the way it read to you as presented in this comment, read by me! :(

On the real, I apologize for being critical. It was unwarranted, as part of the purpose of this thread is to provide a place for admissions-related flipping out. Congrats and carry on, all!

Haha I love how it takes 4 painfully pulled teeth to distract someone from applications.

Any other international kids not received the pizza box? I was accepted back in December (I think, or v early Jan) and have received nothing. Have stuff from everywhere else I was accepted! Feeling a little abandoned :(
