Hey all, checking in!

Submitted late Monday night 1/12, received interview request today 1/15. Is an interview seen as a good sign? Has anyone been rejected yet who had an interview?

Also, something I noticed. When I scheduled the interview, it said I was interviewing with "Washington University Law School 2." Has anyone else had the 2? Does anyone know what it means? I found it kind of odd.

Finally, any good interview advice not already mentioned? Any questions I can expect to be asked, any advice for particularly good questions to ask them? Trying to think of some good ones.

Hoping for an acceptance and hope to see some of you this fall!

answer to first Q: yes its a good sign
answer to second: not that im aware of. no rejectns so far, instead you.ll get the silent treatmt
third Q: no i dont know what that means
forth Q:you can be expected to be asked about all questions listed first page of this thread. if you dont get asked some of them, its becausethey ran outta time
fifth Q: whaa you dont hv any Qs for them? i hv like a thousand. r u curious about anything about the school

I don't think it's a great idea posting exact questions here -- if everyone starts asking the exact same Qs, it won't be too difficult to figure out where the info came from. That being said, clinics, externships, int'l programs, locale etc. specific to the school are always good candidates.

heyy great question. imo I don't think they have the personnel or the resources to interview all ~4,500 applicants.
I might be wrong though..

Sounds to me like interviews go primarily to applicants who are extremely good candidates for admission. They definitely don't interview everyone.

in technicality and in theory, yes. but in practice, i think the general trend is toward interview admission

Almost definitely. I have 2 friends IRL who are students at WUSTL and neither of them interviewed - unless they've chosen to lie to me for some bizarre reason. I'm using that entirely unrepresentative sample to assume that plenty more students have been admitted without an interview.

But if I'm wrong, please let me know.

I agree. I typically get a response within 24 hours.

That's strange, on three occasions its taken at least a week for me. I e-mailed them most recently on the 9th and still haven't heard back. I guess they just don't like me

I had the same experience as OP. It took 3 emails about the travel stipend over a period of over a month before I heard anything back.

similar. cso emailed me asking me if i had a question. i did hv a question so i emailed back. its been two weeks of nada..
