O my god! I understand it's probably (like 99% chance) a ding .... but JESUS!!! I live in the area; it shouldn't take them THAT LONG to send me the letter! I've been "decision finalized" since Monday (4/7). If it doesn't come by tomorrow, I'm giving them a call...

Bizzare waitlists at 162 with a 3.7 and 168 with a 3.48 according to LSN.

"In addition, we have launched a process whereby wait-listed applicants may submit a short video in response to prompted questions that will be used in the decision making process. All wait-listed applicants are encouraged to submit this video, and detailed instructions are included on the Interview Program attachment. The deadline to submit this video is also April 28, 2014. In lieu of the video, wait-listed applicants remain free to submit a letter of continued interest at waitlist@law.usc.edu."

I've never heard of something like this.

I've never heard of something like this.

Northwestern's hold list is similar, but potentially worse. They give four prompts for terrible personal essays (one is about the digital media shopping spree of your dreams). You choose to do as many or as few as you want, and either write 750 words or shoot a 6 minute video. USC is following in the footsteps of sadists, essentially.

I guess at this point I'm hoping to hear back after April 21 since it appears everyone recently is being dinged/WLed. I'm still chillin' at CR1 on 3/31 so it looks like I've got tons of time to go still, unfortunately
