It has officially been 18 days since I officially submitted my application to Georgetown, yet still not email with a status checker... How long did it take for you guys to get yours? I've been lazy about it in hopes that it would appear in my inbox any day, but I guess its time to email them.

Applied 12/31 and got the email from GULC with the status checker on 1/3. I think the office opened back up on 1/2.

Anyone with similar numbers have a similar outcome?
Yeah, I interviewed back in December and got an email saying I was being "held" until February. My interview went well and my advisor says this is normal until they get a better sense of their applicant pool.

They do not. For a split second, I thought I was a special special bird whom they absolutely needed to call to congratulate.

Hi ya'll

Had my alumni interview yesterday, 1/6. Very standard with no oddball questions. PM me for stats or more details—I'd be happy to help.

For those interviewed and then admitted: what was the wait time between interview, status update, and decision?

Thanks in advance and best of luck to everybody!

Maybe I'm not quite your ideal responder, as I haven't been admitted, but any info is good info, yeah?

I had my interview on a Friday morning, and I have every reason to believe that my interview sent everything in that afternoon (i.e. she told me she was going to, and then when I spoke to her a few days later, she talked about having "sent" it in, etc).

So, interview friday morning, stuff sent in (likely) friday afternoon, and then my next status update was the next Tuesday. So, two business days after it was sent in.

I'll update when I hear back about an admit/rejection!

I am still waiting to be interviewed, but my friend had his acceptance letter postmarked 11 days after his interview. Two status changes between the interview and the acceptance, including one on the day the letter was postmarked.

Ugh it says complete for me, dated today. Does this mean it went complete today? I had an interview so I understand they would need to re-update my application.

I checked the ASW but no go. Am I being extra worried about me being rejected? Or is there a chance I'm being held? I'M SO LOST

With those stats I wouldn't be worried. As long as the rest of your application doesn't have any major red flags I have a feeling you'll be admitted soon enough.

I just stole this from the 'what to expect thread'. It's pretty obvious that you've seen this because you tried the asw thing, so I'm not trying to passive-aggressively suggest that you should have read this, which would be an understandable assumption on an online forum! I'm mostly posting this here for others. It's the pattern GULC follows (for the most part) when accepting someone. So here goes:

Georgetown

Incomplete
Complete (a week or so)
Complete 2
Interview Request
Complete 3
(Additional Completes)
Three completes, with the interview request coming after the second, appears to be the general trend, but not always.
You can also check the ASW website. Click on "no password?" and then request one by putting in your email. If they don't have a password for you, then they don't. If they do have one--congrats!

Acceptances: Mail (envelope is small!)

ASW: http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/admitted-students/

so, to answer your actual question, it's likely that you went complete a long time ago. The general pattern is 2 complete dates, and then an interview, and then some more complete dates. A new complete date is just saying, "hey. you are complete, but we updated your file and rather than making a totally new status, we'll just change the date on your complete status".

Evidence suggests that a decision is (relatively) close for you. so good luck!

Re above post, I had an interview request on the same day as complete 1 in November. I wonder if my 2nd complete (first post-interview, yesterday, 2 months later) means I'll be getting a decision soon?

The date of my admissions letter was dated about a week after my interview. Interview on Dec. 15th. First status change after interview on Dec. 16th, second change on Dec. 20th, third change on Dec. 23rd, and that was the date of my letter.

Thanks! Very helpful details. It looks like I have a similar trend going. Interviewed yesterday, interviewer said she would email Georgetown right away, and got a status update today.

Best of luck to you moving forward!

Does "Application Completed" (with the d) mean a decision is on the way, or is that the standard message for files under review?

(Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Searched and couldn't find clear answer.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
