If I'm going to only apply to two of the T14, one of them better be the best damned school in the nation. Yale Mary bitches!midwest17 wrote:iluAttax wrote:I haven't been dinged yet, so that is good news.

Thank you Yale for not dinging me on sight!
+1
Went complete in early Feb. Guess i'm not autoadmit/autoding.
BTW, some of my UG profs were REALLY fast at grading essays!

Don't worry. When we all get in we can just celebrate together, regardless of not being autoadmit.bbkk wrote:andapieceoftoast wrote:This is relevant to my interests.Attax wrote:I haven't been dinged yet, so that is good news.

I added my Yale app to my lsn profile. People are probably really confused about my choice of schools.

Think of your undergrad professors and how slow they were at grading essays.

Exploding offers do not require you to withdraw at schools from which you have not had final decisions. You only have to withdraw from schools at which you've been accepted.Howl wrote:Thanks. Think of your undergrad professors and how slow they were at grading essays.- there's a possibility of a short-fuse scholarship coming in early April and it'd be really helpful to know where I stood with my Yale Mary...

I can't remember where, but I believe I recently read something about the legality of exploding offers.... basically, they're not (legal). If you read the fine print, the ABA allows schools to require a non-refundable down-payment to accept an offer, but they cannot pressure you to make your decisions early.... I think. I don't have any on the horizon, and I can't recall exactly what I read... but it is certainly worth looking into (I may be grossly misrepresenting this).

It makes as much sense as the admissions process. Waiting for YLS is like waiting for Godot.rendlelaw wrote:I have completely stopped understanding this thread.

In other news, my friend guessed all but two oscars correctly and was like she should send that in as an addendum
