Had my alumni interview today. I am a ED applicant and Georgetown has promised me that my application will remain on expedited review. I am hoping that I will have my final two updates soon, so that I may hear something before the long break. :P

For all others who did ED and had interviews, how long did it take you to hear back?

No interview for me but I got the letter at exactly 3 weeks. I think if you are on expedited review still then they are going to make an effort to remain within the 3 weeks. Good luck, hope to see you next year!

Just got in!!! They sent the letter to my parets house by accident, but it was dated 12/10 with the envelope saying 12/11. The three update rule holds true! 11/16, 12/10, 12/11!

Most acceptances seem to come after three updates of the date on your status checker: Complete date, Update 1, Update 2, Update 3, and then a decision arrives (acceptance by snail mail, ding or waitlist by email). People who have an interview generally get a 4th update before their decision. I got my decision after just two updates so it's possible to get it sooner too I guess.

Are you URM? No disrespect, but with your numbers 164/3.2-3.3, I'm really shocked you squeezed into admission.

I'm in for the P/T program (applied either). 169/2.94, with an MA and several years of college teaching experience. I'm shocked and thrilled; it is my top choice, but I figured it was out of my reach with the UGPA.

Hey, no offense taken! I would be asking the exact same thing. I'm AA URM Male, with some decent work experience for K-JD. My acceptance is good news for everyone though, since they usually don't accept URM numbers this early. I'd take that as a good sign for people with solid but not great numbers.

Does anyone know how long this normally takes to set up? Thanks.

Oh, Thank you. I guess I couldn't figure it out because I've had an interview. And, I have had no updates on my status checker at all. It has been "Application Completed" since mid-novemeber. Also, at the end of my interview, Dean C said "Alright, well, your applications are all set for a decision. So, you should hear within a week." Very misleading, I guess...

I think it could take 4-7 business days... possibly sooner. My friend and I got interview invites and GT's response time varied.

Checking in again. Longshot hopes here with a non-URM, 166, 3.51 (now 3.56-ish). Submitted 11/28. Last update 12/3

They haven't started reviewing mine yet. I really would love an acceptance, I'd probably take it even at sticker, but I would not be surprised if I get outright rejected.

Had my interview last Friday. I believe it went really well. The interviewer said I was perfect for the school. 168/3.13(according to LSDAS, 3.27 according to transcripts). I'm relying a lot on my work experience/background/essay+LOR. Very anxious to hear back.

Just got the interview e-mail as well. I'll probably do it, even though my numbers probably won't get me money from GULC anyway, so it might be waste...

Thinking of attempting the short video since my application is stuck at the second review (which I'm trying to remain calm and unsuperstitious about). I know this has been asked before, but I haven't seen it answered--has anyone tried the video this cycle or cycles past?

Yeah, I think a TLSer named Elle tried it a few years back. It got her into Harvard.

Has anyone received scholarship information? Does anyone know when recent admits should expect scholarship information?
