For all others who did ED and had interviews, how long did it take you to hear back?
No interview for me but I got the letter at exactly 3 weeks. I think if you are on expedited review still then they are going to make an effort to remain within the 3 weeks. Good luck, hope to see you next year!gerrod11 wrote:Had my alumni interview today. I am a ED applicant and Georgetown has promised me that my application will remain on expedited review. I am hoping that I will have my final two updates soon, so that I may hear something before the long break.![]()

Congrats!!!!wbrother wrote:Just got in!!! They sent the letter to my parets house by accident, but it was dated 12/10 with the envelope saying 12/11. The three update rule holds true! 11/16, 12/10, 12/11!

Most acceptances seem to come after three updates of the date on your status checker: Complete date, Update 1, Update 2, Update 3, and then a decision arrives (acceptance by snail mail, ding or waitlist by email). People who have an interview generally get a 4th update before their decision. I got my decision after just two updates so it's possible to get it sooner too I guess.2013hopeful:D wrote:Help me out... 3 update rule?wbrother wrote:Just got in!!! Are you URM? No disrespect, but with your numbers 164/3.2-3.3, I'm really shocked you squeezed into admission.wbrother wrote:Just got in!!! Hey, no offense taken! I would be asking the exact same thing. I'm AA URM Male, with some decent work experience for K-JD. My acceptance is good news for everyone though, since they usually don't accept URM numbers this early. I'd take that as a good sign for people with solid but not great numbers.Jonathk1 wrote:Are you URM? Oh, Thank you. I guess I couldn't figure it out because I've had an interview. And, I have had no updates on my status checker at all. It has been "Application Completed" since mid-novemeber. Also, at the end of my interview, Dean C said "Alright, well, your applications are all set for a decision. So, you should hear within a week." Very misleading, I guess...risa wrote:Most acceptances seem to come after three updates of the date on your status checker: Complete date, Update 1, Update 2, Update 3, and then a decision arrives (acceptance by snail mail, ding or waitlist by email). I think it could take 4-7 business days... possibly sooner. My friend and I got interview invites and GT's response time varied.BruCam wrote:Just got the interview email.
Does anyone know how long this normally takes to set up? Thanks.

Yeah, I think a TLSer named Elle tried it a few years back. It got her into Harvard.doppelganger wrote:Thinking of attempting the short video since my application is stuck at the second review (which I'm trying to remain calm and unsuperstitious about). I know this has been asked before, but I haven't seen it answered--has anyone tried the video this cycle or cycles past?
