You ask a ton of questions and I think that's why you're getting less and less answers. There is a search function on this site. That is a good default place to look if you're not going to obsessively read every single post (like me). I know that there have been a few people who reported interviewing. Use the search function and then maybe PM them?

I wrote an optional essay detailing my very strong interest in Duke as my #1 choice. You think that has any pull?

Duke YPs like crazy? Looking on LSN, it doesn't look like it to me. There are just a few waitlisted people with strong numbers, and that could be due to many factors, including the fact that Duke has seen an increase in applications this year, and the possibility of those few high-number WLs not having very strong applications overall. And even if a couple got YPed, I still wouldn't say like crazy.

Hey.. doesn't selectivity play into their rankings? So, if only 4 law schools had applications increase this year (per the NY times article) and Duke is one of them, it might help with their ranking, right?

Hm, I always had the impression that if you had pretty high numbers, you would either get PR or they would throw money at you. The middle doesn't exist so much. That's what I meant by YP--they are either trying very hard to get you to matriculate or putting you on PR.

ETA: And LSN will not reflect this throwing money at applicants thing yet because Mordecai interviews have only just started and finaid offers have not come out yet.

It might. Even though some schools may reduce the class size to keep their numbers and selectivity up.

Priority reserve email at ~2:30. Not surprising given my numbers (3.2x 172) and I didn't write a Why Duke. Definitely going to work on one to send as LOCI.

for people who have submitted their merit/need forms after doing PT, what kind of time frame have you seen before receiving the packet/aid info, and what kind of offers have been out there? (for non-mordecai applicants)
