I just got the same status update, except my date was November 19. I don't understand how it can be 3 months, or 4 in your case, without a decision and not even under review yet

I got a call from a number I didn't recognize, heart started racing and it turns out to be...a University of Cincinnati law student.

(I should probably put aside 5 minutes to learn the area codes for the schools I've applied to)

I'm just confused. They haven't responded to my email yet about merit aid (probably a not good sign, although they do, you know, have to sift through thousands of apps and call gemini and pink and jj and lots of other TLSer). One person on LSN has a 175/3.9 (as well as numerous others with dazzling stats) that did not list any merit aid from BU which I find hard to believe.
So is it better to try negotiating early even though they might come out with more aid? But if you wait you run the risk of money drying up?

AGGGH! Couldn't you have just thrown a litttttle money my way BU? This would have been a done deal!

Talk to them and perhaps do what krad is doing.
And some people on LSN are really lazy/uninterested in updating their profiles.

Anyway, it's a wednesday so I sincerely doubt BU is calling anyone today.

I'm starting to lose my sanity.

So I just called BU law financial aid and asked if the fact that I did not receive a scholarship package with my admittance package if this meant I was not getting any. She said "not neccessarily so" and that some students receive scholly info with their admittance letter but they do it all on a rolling basis and you could get your info all the way up until April 15th (when seat deposit is due). She also said the need based scholarship info will be sent out mid march. sux, cuz I really would like to figure out how realistic this all is a lot sooner than April.

Same here, but I let it go to voice mail and checked the area code first

Don't know why Cincinnati is calling... seems desperate at this point.

To echo this sentiment, when I was emailing with finaid they said that some students will receive offers after they recieve their admit packet based on a "variety of factors"...

I have no idea what to think...I haven't been accepted, not rejected, no waitlist...complete in early November. Good? Bad? Terrible? Why can't they make up their mind about me, I'm neat-o, BU, I swear!
