Haha, agreed for formal writing--"less" technically cannot modify plural nouns. But for TLS posts made after midnight, I'm okay with going a little colloquial =P.Shloime wrote:

Nope, there's a month+ of applicants who haven't heard anything yet, which is why it's silly to assume WL as a best-case scenario.jman77 wrote:Has anyone who went complete in mid-February and on gotten a decision yet?

Or worst-case. I think you can draw zero conclusions from that fact other than that they haven't made a decision on you yet. In fact, with Yale's single digit acceptance rate assuming a WL is probably quite an unfounded presumption. TONS of people got rejected mid-April last year.Keeper1125 wrote:Nope, there's a month+ of applicants who haven't heard anything yet, which is why it's silly to assume WL as a best-case scenario.jman77 wrote:Has anyone who went complete in mid-February and on gotten a decision yet?

Haha, no worries. This is the Yale thread--pedantry is always welcome.afLSAT wrote:I know, I know . . . just taking out my anxiety through usage quibbles . . . I submitted early January, complete in late Jan, and have yet to hear back.

I submitted in early December, was complete in early January, and have yet to hear back. Given that my numbers are much too low for Yale, I don't know what to make of this.swfangirl wrote:I submitted early January, complete in late Jan, and have yet to hear back.
Why hold on to my ap for so long only to reject me? Is it really that hard to decide what they want to do with me?

wow has no one heard recently?
I would have thought they'd be letting people in this week so they could book tickets to ASW. But they might not care about that lol

I guess they are really feeling the crunch from that extended app deadline! Calls are awesome and all, but if it gets a decision out sooner, I am all in favor of emailing. The Stig wrote:Woah! They could throw a brick through my window with an acceptance letter attached and I'd be no less happy.juliachild-ish wrote:I guess they are really feeling the crunch from that extended app deadline! If they threw a brick through my window with a waitlist letter, I'd save that brick forever.ExpectLess wrote:They could throw a brick through my window with an acceptance letter attached and I'd be no less happy.juliachild-ish wrote:I guess they are really feeling the crunch from that extended app deadline! The most painful part, I imagine, is retrieving the bullet to read the message.

TBF I imagine there are actually a lot of us on here who would take a non-lethal bullet for Yale. I know I would.sonervous88 wrote:i've never been shot before but i imagine that that is rather painful...d34dluk3 wrote:IB "they could shoot me with a bullet that had "accepted" inscribed on it."

Re: Yale 2011 applicants
Do y'all think this batch of emails will contain decisions for those of us that applied right at the deadline and didn't go complete until like the middle of March? I hope so, but have a feeling my hope is unwarranted . . .
