That's okay! It was expected, though a courtesy WL would have been nice. Guess my husband and I will be doing long-distance next year... Good luck to everyone else!

Waitlisted via e-mail. I had an 11/22 status update.

The email mentions they also maintain a 'preferred wait list' (which I am not on, it appears) and suggests that I secure a seat at another law school. Womp, womp.

No, at least Rainer and I are still 11/10, but submitted first week of November, so it seems fair (to me).

I submitted on 11/1 or 11/2, so I am not too concerned. Although, if 3 updates is typical, I would like to get the process started...How are your numbers if you don't mind me asking? (Rainer as well)

Well, mine was kind of wierd. I submitted on 11/1 or 11/2, but didn't get a status checker for a week. So, I e-mailed them and they sent one right back with a status checker that said 11/10...no change since then.

After careful consideration of your file, unfortunately, the Committee on Admissions is unable to approve your application for admission to the Law Center for the Fall of 2011.

That struck me as kind of mean. How about "unfortunately, we are unable to offer you a seat." Thanks for making me feel stupid though.

Were you hoping to stay in DC? Did you apply to any of the others?

No, only GULC. Sort of a long story. I thought I had a chance at UVA but then I bombed my LSAT retake and obliterated that dream. My husband will definitely be staying here and though Georgetown would have been very convenient for numerous reasons, I didn't like the idea of $200k in loans.
