Hey!
I applied to Duke early February (I know, really late) – and I haven’t heard anything. I’m not surprised at all since I applied late, but I was wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes to get decisions and how they come (dings vs. WL vs. acceptance)—whether it’s through mail or e-mail.
Also, does anyone know about how long it takes to get a decision and when the latest we’ll hear by is? I have a couple schools that want a deposit by April 1—so I’m getting nervous I’m not going to hear back by then.

I think its really random - I also applied in early Feb and was accepted last week (and definitely was not an auto-admit, splitter with 3.5, 170) and there are people who applied in the fall and are still waiting. With Duke the pattern has been 2 UR review dates and after the second one your status will change within a few days to "Decision Made, watch for email" (at least that what they do with acceptances and PR/WL, not sure about dings). I'm not sure when they say they will have all decisions made by though so not sure if you will hear by April 1st. Hope this helps a bit!

Scholarship offers have been coming based on when they received your scholarship form. I got mine a little over a week ago and they got my form on the first of February.

Regular WL or Priority Reserve? When were you WL'd? Did you do anything recently (LOCI etc.)?

Priority Reserve. Waitlisted Feb 5. LOCI last week.

Should the 3/14ers be expecting a decision this weekend? Are there instances where a 2nd update doesn't mean a decision that week?

Anyone have any idea how long it takes from Scholarship Offer Mailed until it arrives? I'm waiting over a week. Is there a chance it's not lost in the mail?

applied mid-december waitlisted a couple of days ago. not terribly surprised, but a little upset by it all. congrats to everyone going to durham this fall! enjoy! and good luck with scholarships!!!

I emailed my scholarship form Thursday (filled it out by hand, scanned it). Around 24h later I received a confirmation from them, telling me they had received it.

me too.

But I think they were talking about Duke mailing them back about how much (if any) scholarship they're getting, they submitted much earlier than us.
