I'm abroad and got an email (I was ED). It was about 30 mins after they called my mom back home. Good luck all!

So I've to wait 30 mins more than the average applicant. Damn!!! Anyway, thanks for the info

pretty sure he/she didn't mean that they got a call today. they were just saying they got an email and their parents got a call when they were abroad.

i understand that, I'm just assuming that if i get in, i won't get a phone call and hence have to wait a while before the e-mail...

So psyched for tomorrow! Chicago is the law school that made me want to apply to law school. Even though my chances are rather slim, and I now have several solid acceptances anyway, it would be... amazing... to hear from Chicago.

I agree with no calls until after lunch, but keep in mind that lunch isn't for another hour in Chi. We're looking at a possible 2pm EST time start.

Unless things have changed, it appears they still intend to call admits:

Admitted applicants will receive a telephone call (unless the applicant's records indicate that he or she is abroad at the time) and an email followed by an official paper letter and information through regular mail. Waitlisted and denied applicants will be notified of those decisions by email only.

Each call only takes 1-2 minutes. They could easily do 100+ this afternoon.
