Looks like I managed to avoid the WL wave at UCLA. Still stuck in limbo here.

I also submitted mid-September, and just got WL today. So don't worry, they haven't lost it.

Went complete Jan 24. It hasn't even been two weeks, and I already feel antsy; I don't know how you have all made it several months without murdering in frustration.

I'm honestly holding off withdrawing off general principle at this point. I feel like I've committed too much to the cause. Plus I'm hoping for $$$

Late WL for me today! Surprised, I thought it'd be a straight ding.

All you recent WL'ers: are you gonna ride it out? What's the thought process?

WL, but it's nice to have a status there finally. Until I received a Law and Philosophy email ad, I wasn't quite sure UCLA knew I existed. Although, emailing me about "sweet" class offerings two weeks before WL'ing me is a little angering. This whole admissions process is making me cranky.

I dunno. I've already withdrawn from some waitlists but there are others I'd like to ride out. There's little downside either way though.jwmalone87 wrote:All you recent WL'ers: are you gonna ride it out? What's the thought process?

I'm new to this, can someone explain what the benefits are of withdrawing an app to a school you've become sure you don't want to attend? (Not WL'd...also I'm not referring to UCLA, ha)

Re: UCLA? 2011
It seems like the real benefit is that you don't have to worry about an additional school that you only have a small chance of getting into. Also it frees up the spot for people on the WL who desperately want to go to that school.kelesands wrote:I'm new to this, can someone explain what the benefits are of withdrawing an app to a school you've become sure you don't want to attend? However, if you really want to go to that school yourself (i.e. it's your top choice), there is no real benefit to withdrawing.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
