Re: UVA 2010, RD
Thanks for the kind words. To answer a previous question, I was RD and actually very surprised to hear so quickly. It's only been a little more than 2 weeks, and that includes Christmas and New Year's.
Also, I am not set on going to UVA. I applied to six schools and have heard from 2 (in at Richmond, in at UVA) and waiting to hear from 4 others at this point. In the end, I guess it's going to come down to a prestige vs. expense analysis.
I'm going to have to make some tough decisions but, at this moment, I am very happy!

Same, except 10/23. One less day of painful suffering while I wait for what seems like it will be a WL or rejection. Whatever the decision is, I would hope that nearly 2 and a half months is long enough to make it.tilghmab wrote:I sure hope so, been "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" since 10/22.annabell wrote:Are there going to be any decisions this week?

I submitted my app mid-November, and I'm still waiting. I'm a non-resident. Has any non-Virginian who applied mid November or later been accepted yet? (I'm talking about RD only; I know that many have been accepted ED.)

What are your #s? I was in a similar position last cycle (and knew a couple others as well) and was eventually waitlisted. It's still fairly early to hear back for RD, but if you find yourself not hearing anything for another month, then you might end up on the WL, which is basically a soft reject.managamy wrote:I'm curious too, being in the same position myself.Dignan wrote:I submitted my app mid-November, and I'm still waiting. I'll say it again. Last cycle: Complete 11/10, accepted RD 1/29. No updates in between. It's still early, too early to make any kind of assumptions.wadeny wrote:What are your #s? You can find my stats on LSN. I might be in YP territory.wadeny wrote:What are your #s? I was in a similar position last cycle (and knew a couple others as well) and was eventually waitlisted. Fair enough. This whole process can obviously vary from applicant to applicant, but February is notorious for WLs and rejections at most schools.vanwinkle wrote:I'll say it again. Wow, if your #s are legit, I don't even know why you're too interested in UVA, besides getting some $$$. If you're really interested in UVA, you might want to think about writing a LOCI soon, otherwise you might be yield protected.managamy wrote: You can find my stats on LSN. I might be in YP territory.

I was just curious, actually. It's interesting to observe the patterns of different schools.
And, yes, we're still a long way from February.
