I'm still sending lots of positive vibes out to Mich, but I've been complete for almost 5 weeks. The waiting is probably worse than a WL/reject.

According to what Dean Zearfoss said last night at that admissions presentation they did, she is accepting people at a much slower rate than usual because application submissions are way up and she doesn't want to leave people out because she filled up the class too early. Not that it will make the waiting any eaiser, but just passing it along.

Neither of these answers make me feel good about the wall of red text I am still submitting myself to daily. Especially considering that my complete date was over 5 weeks ago, and they have probably reviewed me multiple times and still can't decide.

Considering we submitted on/around the same day, I guess this means bad news for me too.

What's wrong with me Michigan? My Dad and next door neighbor wrote great LORs and I thought my PS about how Ohio State football inspired me to get out of the prison mental hospital and get on with my life was a real tear-jerker. Some have compared it to "A Million Little Pieces," written by my hero James Frey. I also thought my addendum on why my freshman year GPA shouldn't be considered because I was way too tanked to read the words on most of my tests came across pretty honest.

Tomorrow would have been 3 weeks exactly and I got mine today. So maybe there is hope that they are really that bogged down?

ok i just started reading this threat so i apologize if this is a really silly question... i have noticed lots about red vs. blue text. i just checked my status for the first time (just got the status checker email), and all my text is blue saying that my application is complete. does this mean anything?

No. The red text is in reference to the admitted students website login. Red text there means you have not been admitted up to that point.

ahhhh thank you. and for those people who are still waiting on status checkers.... i called the admissions office today because it had been about 4 weeks since i got the "received" email. the nice woman i spoke with said that status checker emails go out once a week (usually on wednesday), the week or two after your application is complete. i spoke with her a few hours ago, and got my status checker email about an hour ago. she also said to check your junk folder to make sure it's not there. hope this helps!

I applied 11/1, received a confirmation email 11/5, and just received my status checker today. I would give them more than a week or two at this point. Then again, my LSAT is < 25th%, so maybe they just stuck me in the slow pile... who knows.
