I checked the box, and I emailed the essay to law.moreinfo@nyu.edu as a PDF two weeks after I submitted the JD app. I asked the admissions people about this and they told me that's what I should do.Jericwithers wrote:I did check the box, and I wasn't sure if it would be best to mail or email the essay (and as a pdf or a a .doc).LS18 wrote:For those that submitted their apps and are submitting the scholarship essays later (before Jan 1):
1) Did you still check the box for the scholarship you are writing when you applied?
2) Are you just going to email the essay as a PDF and ask them to add it to your file?
My app is ready to go but I'm still trying to get through this essay. Wondering if I should just submit and finish it the next two weeks...

Re: NYU 2010
Does anyone know if NYU typically sends out admissions letters in waves? It seems that earlier this week tons of people received letters over the course of two days and then suddenly it pretty much stopped (with a few exceptions).
Do you think that sometime next week another wave might come in?

Yes, and as proof you should check my mail while I am away.dvazq wrote:Does anyone know if NYU typically sends out admissions letters in waves? Based on the conversation I had with them last week I'd expect the next wave of decisions to start coming in today or tomorrow.. I hope for good news
(I was told they were mailing mine out "soon", and that I could "expect to receive it early next week".. this was last thursday)

Still waiting for my decision....the admissions lady mentioned that it was mailed out around 12/4. Aaargh!!! Why'd I have to be located at the other end of the world?!

This waiting is killing me to. I don't mind waiting for my other schools cause I know I'll get in somewhere...hopefully and I don't know when I'll get those decisions back. NYU is such a crapshoot for me and I know the decision is coming soon (I'm ED)

Just called the admissions office, and I was told by Ms. Nice.Lady that my decision letter has already been mailed out. It can't be bad news, right?

I'm sure its good news....and I have a feeling we should be receiving it around the same time (given our locations), so I'd be really interested in knowing when you receive it!laolbjob wrote:Just called the admissions office, and I was told by Ms. Nice.Lady that my decision letter has already been mailed out. What prompted you to call the admin office? Did you recently receive an email update?laolbjob wrote:Just called the admissions office, and I was told by Ms. Nice.Lady that my decision letter has already been mailed out. It can't be bad news, right?

if you live in CT, you can blame your lack of a purple envelope on this:

at least for a while.

Re: NYU 2010
I submitted a month ago and still haven't gotten a complete email! I just called and definitely got the mean lady--she didn't ask my name, wouldn't look anything up, and just repeated "It's being processed" twice before hanging up. Sad day

omg just called nyu, they sent out my decision on the 9th. Good news or bad news? Have people been rejected yet? I'm early decision btw. This is sad but im shaking a little.
Btw I've called twice, seemed like different people. The first was very nice, the second was curt but nice enough.

Are you ED? Because if not I feel like I drew the short straw in them not volunteering to take a look at my app. Didn't even ask for my name.acdisagod wrote:Yea, I can't beleived I caved an called. They sent the decision dec. 9th, wats taking so long! I live in Brooklyn.
