Awww, I miss y'all too, although I decided that SY just ain't happening for me. Moving on and looking for apartments at my school of choice, etc etc., and getting excited about it/forgetting about SY. Just wanted to post my DLS here in case it's helpful.seeprybyrun wrote:We miss you over in the Y thread, pretzel!pretzeltime wrote:dlssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Wishing the poor souls in both threads the absolute best of luck

Have any of this morning's DLS-ers been able to get an answer on WL or ding via phone?

You must be more patient than I am. I got the DLS after hours and woke up at 7AM CT the next day and dialed their number at 9AM PT PRECISELY.HonestlyThough wrote:Me.NotPanicking wrote:I've been creeping on this site nonstop for a while, and thought I would just share: got a DLS last night and called into their office this morning. Waitlisted, completed 12/14/2016, >75th for LSAT and GPA.
Gonna go drown myself in margaritas, but good luck to everyone on here: I wish you all speedy acceptances!
Edit: I don't yet know if I was WL or rejected. But I am GPA & LSAT >75
I'm sorry to hear about the DLS. It's super disappointing, I know. Even the wait list. I haven't even responded to the letter yet.

Anyone who has gone DLS with stats that would make them competitive numbers wise (although no one is guaranteed anything based on numbers for Stanford): not below a median i guess... and was complete back in sept/oct/november send in a LOCI in feb/march or so?

Went DLS at some point this afternoon. Applied 1/28, went complete 2/7 with no movement after that. sad because i was really hoping for stanny, but also makes my final decision easier.

I'm thinking that today might have been a last round of waitlists before a big ding wave. Any thoughts?

Probably, at least for now. Does it have restrictions? That's the only thing that might keep me off. S is amazing

Re: Stanford C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017 Cycle)
I actually think they're almost all done with dings -- I think there are a handful of acceptances and more waitlists to come. It's hard to say because there's a delay in people posting on lsn due to S mailing out dings/wls and people being too reluctant/apathetic to call.LSRAT wrote:I'm thinking that today might have been a last round of waitlists before a big ding wave. I also went DLS yesterday. I'm not gonna check to see if it's a waitlist or a ding, either way I'm out. Stanford was my 1st choice before my cycle started but I've been really lucky with the rest of it and I'm pretty stoked with the rest of my options.

UR since essentially the beginning of the cycle and still nothing. Is an LOCI appropriate/worthwhile at this point? Or more redundant than anything given Stanford's reputation?

I've been UR since early September as well--sent in a LOCI about a month ago. I would say anything goes at this point. If that is true, there are no straight admits to be had .3*180 = 54. Also, they only made 409 offers last year, but 433 the previous year which is more analogous to this cycle.HonestlyThough wrote:A friend currently at SLS told me 30% of her class came in off the WLhammy393 wrote:384 total (out of 430 offers, which includes WL)curry1 wrote:Can someone please give us an FB group update?
