Checking the box to retain your place on the wait list is not a commitment to attend if accepted right? Can I stay on the wait list and then not change my mind if they eventually get back to me?

As far as I understand, this is correct. However, it's generally seen as good form to only stay on waitlists that you would actually accept if given an offer.grgregregre wrote:Checking the box to retain your place on the wait list is not a commitment to attend if accepted right? Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
I think SLS recommends that you file all financial information (FAFSA and the other need based app) to SLS as if you were admitted, and Dean Faye tries to give you a quick turnaround in between admission and financial aid information.lebongenre wrote:Just curious - Are waitlisted applicants still eligible for need-based grants? If so, does SLS provide an aid estimate when a waitlist applicant is offered a spot in the class or does he/she have to commit assuming sticker?

Anybody know what time of day admission calls usually go out? Not that I'm expecting one but I have a deposit deadline tomorrow and want to play it safe just in case.

This cycle they seem to have occurred in early afternoon EST / late morning PST. There doesn't seem to have been many calls in the evenings. Though anything is possible, it is SLS.dogday793 wrote:Anybody know what time of day admission calls usually go out? To add to Pterodactyl's comment, the WL form this year asks applicants to list the phone number at which they can be reached during daytime hours in the event they are offered a spot. Dean Deal doesn't seem to be a fan of 11pm admit calls on Saturday night.dogday793 wrote:Anybody know what time of day admission calls usually go out? It's also probably good form to get back to the applicants to your law school before they're all dead and gone due to old age. Not that I'm bitter or anything.Bearlyalive wrote:As far as I understand, this is correct. I am also waiting on Chicago. I sent in my application the last minute. Got accepted/waitlisted at all the other schools except Stanford and Chicago. Just checked Chicago status, no update yet. Wonder if I should just withdraw my application.

No struggles to comprehend from me.Smc1994 wrote:Is anybody else struggling to comprehend the two most recent acceptances on lsn?
Ohmylanta123 has good numbers and appears to have reasonably strong leadership skills. Wouldn't know more without reading ps and resume.
beenawhile also has good numbers. Plus this person is a non-trad with 5-9 yrs work experience. The accepts to stanford and berkeley lead me to believe this person has ties to northern california. Also, could have a very resume.

I bet the fact that they aren't kjd is a bigger boost than most think.Smc1994 wrote:robertwabisabi wrote:No struggles to comprehend from me.Smc1994 wrote:Is anybody else struggling to comprehend the two most recent acceptances on lsn?

Good numbers? They're both sub 3.9 and 170.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
