Thanks!
Definitely would not have minded CA weather after this winter but it's probably for best for personal reasons I stay on the east coast haha.
Not sure if ding or waitlist but will find out and vacate post-haste if the latter.

DLS but I can't even call to ask since it's the weekend. Is the letter.. a physical letter? as opposed to an email

I refuse to check my status - I figure I can enjoy a few extra days before the dream is over. But seeing all the people getting DLS kind of makes me think there's no way I don't also have it.

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Here is some info I got from last year's thread:
-The time frame coincide with the upcoming week's time frame (last days of March going into April)
-This is not conclusive because, as Koala mentioned, ASW was EARLIER last year. This year's ASW is on April 25.
-After koala posted this, a multitude of DLSs went out
-The following day 2 TLS users reported getting in, one URM one non-URM
-Wednesday of that week more DLS went out
Once again, take it as you will. This cycle is markedly different from the last (beginning with the low number of admits on the FB group, and the fact that ASW is at the end of the month).
Cheers to all.
Some additional information:koalacity wrote:I think we'll see a big wave of DLS late afternoon/evening today.
To follow up on what other posters were discussing this morning, from my perusing the applicant threads from the last two years this weekend, I discovered that:
1) She typically makes calls on Monday,Tuesday and/or Wednesday prior to ASW.
2) These calls are typically to URMs and non-trads (military, PhDs, strong WE, etc).
3) After ASW, there are no reported straight acceptances.
4) There are huge waves of DLSs the week prior to ASW and the weeks following ASW (all the way up until May 1)-both dings and waitlists. You can call to find out if your DLS is a waitlist or a ding if you don't want to wait for the snail mail letter.
Of course, ASW is earlier this year than it was the last two years, and this cycle hasn't necessarily followed any kind of pattern similar to prior cycles. Thus, we could see some post-ASW acceptances, and hopefully we'll see at least a handful of calls today/tomorrow/Wednesday.
I'm preparing for the worst, but I'm still desperately holding on to the hope that I'll get a call. Stanford has been the dream for years, and I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

It is 8 a.m in Palo Alto. That means Dean Faye Deal has done her yoga, has had her nutritious breakfast and coffee, and is in her office right now making final decisions. Good luck to those of us still waiting.

Congrats! I know the Stanford WL is not as big as Harvard's. Wonder what the numbers say.

Does anyone know how many wait list offers Stanford typically makes? Also how many admits usually come off that list?

Rejected via DLS + phone call to confirm. Seems to live up to its reputation of a very steep hill to climb for people with low GPAs, regardless of anything else. GL to people still waiting.

My complete date just changed from 1/28 (the date they emailed me to say it was complete) to 1/17 (the date I actually submitted). Should I read anything into this???
