Why not? Based on last years applicants thread interview invites were still going out as of 4/22 and acceptances were being reported on May 1st. We're still alive, so there's still hopeBangShootBang wrote:I am so nervous, do you think we still have a shot?MadwomanintheAttic wrote:We are in the exact same boat. That's encouraging! But at this point, I'm going through those daily waves of hopefulness and utter despair...MadwomanintheAttic wrote:Why not? Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Submitted 1/5, no status change until I called them asking to please review my file the other day. Under review today and just got put on reserve.
Is reserve a polite rejection or does cornell usually draw from the list? I assume a LOCI is in order at the minimum.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Submitted early Dec. Complete early Jan.
Got date change 4/6 and then today 4/10...
Called the admissions office to see if I could get some hint as to whether a decision was made and they said "you'll be hearing soon".
It's just so drawn out that I'm not expecting anything. Good luck all.

Reserved today. Kind of excited for this, considering my subpar performance on the LSAT.

After no movement at all since 2/9, I've had three date changes in the last week (with the last one today). I don't think I can handle the stress.jbrantley wrote:Date change today.

I also had three date changes including today. Here I was thinking "oh maybe they can't decide on my app and are just reading it over and over." Nope. It's probably just moving its way to the waitlist pile.jbrantley wrote:I think ditto. Probably. Oh well, I'll take a WL decision or even a ding over my current "No status change since 2/4" situation at Northwestern.ku546 wrote:I also had three date changes including today. Makes you wonder what they could possibly be doing that necessitates so much time. Surely they're not having existential angst, brooding over our essays.

Admitted just now -- so there's definitely movement this week. Scholarship info came in with email. Best of luck, all!

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Placed on reserve today via the status checker. Haven't received any kind of email notification. Probably safe to assume there's little to no chance of getting in with money off reserve, right?
"Mid-to-late May" per the information on the status checker:Hispaniclaw wrote:the reserve email said they'll re-review our files in may, right? do you guys know if its early or late may?
Later in the season after we've begun to hear back from people already accepted (usually by mid-to-late May), we decide if further offers are appropriate. If so, we review the files of all reserve applicants and make additional offers.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Just got put on reserve via status checker. No e-mail yet.
Wish they provided some sort of ranking (Berkeley provides quartiles, Georgetown has "preferred waitlist" vs regular), etc.
And there's "several hundred" people on Cornell's list. I take that to be over 300. The class size is only 200...
Going to stay on the list but mentally mark it off as a soft reject. Good luck everyone else.

Date change today, but no decision. I'm hoping they're waiting to see how many people put in a seat deposit before they make a final decision.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
