Re: Fordham c/o 2016/17 (2012-2013 Cycle)
Admitted into the FT Day Program today. Application submitted on 3/7/2013. For context:
LSAT: 164
Undergrad: Cornell 3.45
3 years work experience (non-legal)
Currently sitting on a 41k scholarship from Brooklyn. Hoping Fordham offers something competitive.

Thanks. I'm genuinely surprised by the acceptance. I know of seemingly better resumes that were rejected or waitlisted. I guess they saw something in my recs or statement. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

Is it the general assumption that if you weren't contacted yesterday to be admitted off the PT WL, you aren't getting a spot unless someone who got a spot rejects the offer?

That's probably already the case, but, keep in mind that last year people were pulled off the waitlist as late as the end of Julydwc242 wrote:Is it the general assumption that if you weren't contacted yesterday to be admitted off the PT WL, you aren't getting a spot unless someone who got a spot rejects the offer?

Fair enough. Although, I keep deluding myself into thinking that since there have been no updates from TLS or LSN users, they may not have sent out acceptances yet (obviously those users represent a small sample of applicants, may not have updated their accounts, etc.).guano wrote:That's probably already the case, but, keep in mind that last year people were pulled off the waitlist as late as the end of Julydwc242 wrote:Is it the general assumption that if you weren't contacted yesterday to be admitted off the PT WL, you aren't getting a spot unless someone who got a spot rejects the offer?

If it helps, I spoke to an admissions rep who said they are convening this week to make decisions of who they will take off of the wait list.

She did not specify but from speaking with her I think she meant both ft and pt.

Also not that many people are being taken off for ft but they will be getting into the wl for pt. that's what my update email stated.

I've been waiting for an update on any of these tracking sites/blogs. I haven't heard one yet. Hoping they are just running behind...baddabing27 wrote:No movement? Anyone?

Me too. Do you know if it's super hard to get into the program? I'm trying to figure out if I should just answer the questions straight forwardly or if I should treat it more like my personal statement for admission.

From what I understand, the decision making committee is very selective. I don't think any harm can come from taking your responses seriously.fredmerz wrote:Me too. So..... Still no movement on the PT wait list? Should we give up at this point?

Maybe a stupid question but does anyone understand why Fordham dropped so many spots in the rankings? Although I know the US News rankings aren't everything, it kinda scared me away...
