I feel like I've been slacking off lately, so I thought I'd point that not only is there a precedent for 2 day turnarounds, there's also a precedent for 1 day turnarounds. (I also
think there have been same-day turnarounds, but those were for candidates being pulled from the waitlist.) In accordance with my new habit of reposting direct quotes from precious cycle's threads, I present this example from Thursday, December 22nd 2011:

KB1 yesterday at 3:10 pm; KB2 today at 2:23 pm. Is that a record?
I'm in shock. I think I need to hurry up and send them my deposit before someone figures out what happened!
I'm going to Harvard!
In another exchange, we discover the explanation was that KB was in overdrive mode trying to get people their decisions in time for the holiday weekend:

Wow...that's a ridiculously fast turnaround, no?
That's what I said in my shocked state and she said she wanted to give people a nice holiday treat.
So the precedent exists, although I don't think this situation demands it. After 3 days of interviews, there would be more people to call than in the previous incidents, and they can easily save everyone's calls for Wednesday the 20th and Friday the 22nd, since there are no interviews those days. At best, maybe a handful of JS2s will go out tomorrow, but I think JS1s would be more likely.
