What's everyone's take on an ED admit potentially taking feb to increase score in effort to get scholarship $. Would it even be worth it being that they could just be like "lol no your coming at sticker"

^ ouch that sucks haha
Well, I've been UR since about 10/16. I'm at both 75ths with a Why UVA and a UVA specific LOR and havent heard a peep. I am considering visiting. Maybe this would make them remember that I'm alive and applied?

Just got the email asking me to call. Got a message saying the number was busy, but I'm taking this as good news.

In with 75k.
My status checker never showed a complete date. It was kind of glitchy but I submitted around 11/5

Just received an email from Jason Dugas asking me to sign up for the UVA Law Email Newsletter. Anyone else get this? Good sign I hope? I applied ED and went complete 1-10-13.

Everybody gets this and usually everyone signs up thinking somehow they will see it as interest in the school (myself included). Then you unsubscribe because getting emails from them that are not related to your application status sucks balls.TA923 wrote:Just received an email from Jason Dugas asking me to sign up for the UVA Law Email Newsletter. I've been complete/under review since 12/04 and haven't heard a peep since.

If he gets into the med school, you should consider mentioning this in any loci you write to them in the future. I got in yesterday and mentioned in a follow up email to Anne Richard that my fiance also applied to UVA Law this cycle. I recently got a response from her saying she's added a note to his file. I hear ad comms usually find this type of info useful.harveyfan wrote:My boyfriend got invited for an interview with UVA Med School... UVA CALL ME, MAYBE? YOU'LL MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE!

Thank you for the advice! That's really helpful. We're planning on getting engaged this year, so I'll be bringing my fiance with me too!aiaea wrote:If he gets into the med school, you should consider mentioning this in any loci you write to them in the future. This is one of the things I'm most worried about with UVA. With Boalt, Chicago, NYU, Columbia, etc. there are big job markets. I'm worried that Charlottesville is going to be a difficult place for my SO to find a job.harveyfan wrote:Thank you for the advice! That's really helpful. On the plus side, at least you're not paying 2k/month in rent while the SO is looking. For what it's worth, my college roommate's wife didn't have too much trouble finding a job in the area after he chose UVA Law, but she's also a teacher, which is probably a bit more flexible. As a last resort, there's always Richmond, too, and your SO can take heart knowing her commute is still shorter than what most people are doing from NOVA to DC each morning.cwid1391 wrote:This is one of the things I'm most worried about with UVA.
