I wonder what proportion of applicants that apply to Boalt and Stanford and are admitted to Boalt (not off waitlist) will also be admitted to Stanford. Am trying to find ways to feel hopeful about my chances at Stanford since I screwed up my application to Yale...

Haha. I'm actually just curious as to what my chances are. I was shocked to be admitted to Berkeley and am thrilled by the possibility of even having a shot at SHY. I think it's perfectly reasonable to speculate while waiting and to see if I can potentially up my chances by sending in a LOCI, etc. Expressing curiosity in how the admissions process works and trying to maximize one's chances =/= "very anxious about everything". But uh, I appreciate your concern?

This will probably only increase your anxiety, but an acceptance at Berkeley indicates very little about your chances anywhere else.

I have seen many people say that they did get a response relatively quickly. I myself sent in an updated resume and I received a confirmation email within three hours. Depends what time of day you sent it though. My experience with this matter though is that they usually get back within the day or the next day unless it's a weekend.

Haha, I’m not going to lie, I called my mom and said “fuck you, Harvard” like, twice. The rankings change obviously doesn’t mean much but I’m glad that one of my prospective schools is in the number two spot!

Does Stanford usually do their decisions in any semblance of chronological order? I had my application in in early January, but my undergrad took FOREVER to send in the Statement of the Undergraduate Dean, so I only went complete February 17th. I know that fact probably makes me a real long shot for Stanford so I probably shouldn't even bother thinking about it, but I am wondering if going complete February 17th will mean I'm going to have to wait until like April to find out. Does anyone have any idea?
