Elitism
lol, I understand
that, but I was wondering if there were any legitimate reasons for the bad rep.
...it seems like a pretty nice place.
I agree, it is a pretty nice place.
Most hate on it because they think that exact big law placement should equal exact ranking, and because WUSTL is ranker higher than its relative biglaw placement, it is over rated.

I'll be withdrawing today. I'm going to attend the University of Iowa on a full in-state scholarship. Good luck to everyone with the rest of their cycle!

Good luck! A good friend from undergrad is a 1L there now, and he likes it so far.

Good to hear! I really like WUSTL, but also love the Hawkeyes and can't pass up the scholarship.

In today. Can someone please confirm that all merit awards at WUSTL come sans GPA stipulations?

that's correct, the Scholars In Law award (which is their basic merit scholarship) had no gpa stipulation other than "good academic standing" i.e. don't fail out

cade--did they send you scholly info w/ your acceptance? They just told me i was being considered for one, but didn't actually award me one yet.
Either way i'm pretty stoked. Unlike most ppl here, I dig wustl a lot. Actually got rejected there for undergrad, so this feels damn good...

My acceptance was in December and I didn't get my Scholars in Law award until 2/8. Hope this helps and good luck!

I most certainly can't wait 'til April for a scholarship...

2/8 was the first round of scholarships they released so the people that had been admitted first were still waiting. I assume scholarship offers will come more frequently now.

TITCR. Do not expect the same waiting period, but a much shorter one.
