Sorry about that. I've been hearing from lots of people that the scholly offers this year are laughable. :(

I guess I do not get how a 3.5/165 gets 20K a year and a 3.4/167 only gets 10. W&L was a top choice for me as a family member attended there a few decades ago on a full ride. They did make withdrawing rather simple and I strongly believe that anyone who would pay 30K+ a year there would be clinically insane.

@pinkcamellia Do you mean from all schools this cycle or just W&L? I found my W&L to be a joke ($10,000 and 3.36/167/URM) and W&M to be what I expected ($10,000).

4.0/165 here that only got 12k/year. a bit confusing.

Just W&L. One of my friends here applied with similar numbers to you, higher GPA but non-URM, and did not receive a scholly offer. It was bewildering, considering she will now be attending a higher ranked school with 75% scholly.

I guess this explains why they keep dropping every year in the rankings. I know rankings are not the final verdict but it does speak volumes. Out of state (31K) + 10/12K a year at W&M KILLS W&L at 31K a year every time.

Hi numbers/offer twin. I got the same joke offer from W&L. For in-state students like myself, it is literally cheaper to go to W&M sticker than W&L with a $10K scholarship. I would take my $4k at W&M over my $10k at W&L any day.

Edit: Although, I just noticed your W&M offer and I'm a little disappointed I didn't get more from them. :( I'm going to try to negotiate though.

Its kind of funny that I got a pretty big scholarship from W&L for my numbers, but all I really wanted was to get into W&M. So be happy that you're in, for now W&L sits at the top of my list as I keep hitting F5.

I mean, really...

Status checker changing and then disappearing. This is just a big tease!

I was hoping for some action today, but I suppose they are just waiting to give us some good news on Friday?!

Or are they snow affected too?

All I need is another $5k/yr and I would immediately commit to WM.

Thankful today that we weren't trolled as hard as NU... I'd rather be in limbo then get all geared up for a decision and be "held".

(says the girl who is probably awaiting a WL at best)

And then I get an immediate heart attack with the "social media" email. Well played, W&M.
