Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I have given up hope UR since 11/16. Got complete email on the 24th. Nothing...oh well I only applied because I used to tell my mom I would go there as a kid. Well...other reasons too, but it's easier to let myself down this way.

I have been UR for over a week, and had my interview a few days ago. I just got the application complete email. Does this mean anything? Good? Bad? Neutral? Thanks.

There haven't been any JR1s since I went under review in late November, but it's starting to bum me out :/
Why no JR1s this week Harvard??

The Beatles thought that all you needed was love, but they were wrong. All you need is faith! Don't give you now. Harvard has only accepted a small fraction of its class right now. There are way more acceptances to come. Don't be nonchalant about this..Non-Chalant1 wrote:I have given up hope UR since 11/16. Got complete email on the 24th. +1. Don't forget we went UR together. If you lose faith, I lose credibility.Mrs. Jack Donaghy wrote:The Beatles thought that all you needed was love, but they were wrong. All you need is faith! I think I "win" the under review competition- under review since 10/22. Little to no hope of getting a JR1 at this point. Good luck to all of you though!

I'm UR 10/22 as well. I think we're down to basically zero chance of ever getting a JR1. Oh well, we gave it a shot.kak5n wrote:I think I "win" the under review competition- under review since 10/22. Little to no hope of getting a JR1 at this point. Good luck to all of you though!

Eh... it was a long shot for me anyways with my sub-25% LSAT even though my GPA is > 75%. I just wish they'd tell us one way or the other so I can stop thinking about it!Knock wrote:I'm UR 10/22 as well. I think we're down to basically zero chance of ever getting a JR1. Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I win actually - I am UR since 10/06. But, I have not given up hope. I suspect they have the bulk of applications by now, and they have accepted very few people so far. Once they are done with the "auto-admits", I suspect they will turn to the rest of us. In any case, remember that this forum is not representative. (I am a student at Harvard and most of my friends at HLS say they never followed this forum or any of the online sites.)

I beat you. 10/6. And I'm above both 75%. Still many months left in the cycle thoughkak5n wrote:I think I "win" the under review competition- under review since 10/22. Little to no hope of getting a JR1 at this point. Good luck to all of you though!

I guess I don't "win", but I am UR 10/25 and pretty much a lost cause, too.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
What is it with people thinking that if they didn't get a JR1 after a couple of weeks of going UR they are a "lost cause"? I think it simply means you are not an auto-admit but if you have competative numbers your time will likely come later in the cycle.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I think I'm more optimistic about Stanford because of their lower median LSAT- although, as someone hilariously pointed out on that thread, Stanford is like the person who is way out of your league but who you think you have a shot with.r6_philly wrote:Stanford.playdough wrote:What other thread?r6_philly wrote:I sense more optimism in the other thread.

Yeah totally agree with this. There's a lot of cycle left and HLS is probably just taking a little more time with our apps.Ragged wrote:What is it with people thinking that if they didn't get a JR1 after a couple of weeks of going UR they are a "lost cause"? I'm pretty much right at both medians myself, so I assumed they were going to wait a little bit on me.
I think, perhaps, people are getting discouraged because people with similar numbers are getting JR1s and JR2s, but we just gotta hang in there a little while longer. Looking at LSN from last year, there were plenty of people who submitted as early as October who didn't get JR1s until even as late as January and beyond.
